This may be a stupid take BUT I feel like KAT's stats don't equal wins whereas Dantes stats don't really show how much he means to a squad. KAT has been with Minn forever and never got anywhere with them, the only reason they have been good recently was because of AE. In a vacuum I take Dante over KAT because I think he means more to a team than KAT. KAT is gonna score points but in the end its not gonna mean much. Knicks still might be great because they have a well constructed roster. I think Knicks are going down a slot and the Wolves are going up a slot with this trade. Getting rid of Randle is a win though.
This trade made the knicks better with spacing on the flr and gives them a center that can score. Randle mentally is a problem and neither plays well so far in The playoffs but the knicks have shown that they can win games without randle i wouldnt be surprised if this also has something to do with the playoffs when julius randle had a chance to come back and opted out becasue he was sure about the shoulder. Really wish we didnt give up donte
Check towns stats in the Dallas series last year
Sixers got better, wolves got much better, randle and kat both do the iso ball bs and can score. Dontes the big changer here for the wolves
Knicks are gonna be avg at best, all time role player starting 5 with 2 fringe stars in brunson and kat
I think they were scarier with Hartenstien and Donte. Embiid should feast on that matchup

I don’t fear this trade, this make me feel better about beating the Knicks. KAT doesn’t fit with the team’s identity/culure. The Knicks are a tough team and KAT’s a soft player. Also Embiids son.
