The New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Orlando Magic,106-104 as Trevelin Queen missed a game-winning 3PT attempt as time expired. Jordan Hawkins (18 points, 2 assists) and Zion Williamson (16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists) led New Orleans while CJ McCollum added 9 points and 3 rebounds. Dejounte Murray totaled 6 points and 6 assists in his preseason debut for his new team. Paolo Banchero led the Magic with 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists as Jalen Suggs (11 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists) and Cole Anthony (11 points) totaled 22 points.
The Pelicans move to 1-0 in the preseason while the Magic fall to 0-1.
