Golden State Warriors Insider Anthony Slater (The Athletic):
In a slightly upgraded form, the Warriors have the same problem as a season ago. They have plenty of rotation-level NBA talent but not enough top-end scoring or creation next to Stephen Curry. I imagine they’ll win enough games to stay in the playoff mix, tick off a couple of capable players who are buried in the rotation and then, once January or February nears, find a consolidation trade that better balances the roster and rotation. Another aspect to watch is Jonathan Kuminga’s contract talks. If he extends in October, collective bargaining agreement rules make him nearly impossible to trade until next summer. If he doesn’t (my current guess), he remains an obvious and appealing trade piece.

Unless they are trading for a top 5 player it is best to roll with the talent they have. Trading for a big star like Paul George and boom he already injured. If we got him and it happened to us we would be worse than last year. No need to put all our eggs in one basket. This team can do extremely well being as deep as we are. The only guys worth trading is like Giannis or even Durant but Butler and some of these other names aren't worth trading for. Like I said many many times before play what we have and see what we have got. This team is already breaking expectations and I'm sure they will only get better. Trading up don't mean much if you spend way more than it is worth.

Nobody is untouchable… but the key phrase is, "for the right price." So far no team has ever been even close to making a trade offer involving Kuminga that valued him where he should be valued. JK is a unicorn when it comes to the NBA… and 5 years from now, looking back, we will all agree that Markennen for JK straight up would have been highway robbery! Yet there are still idiots (*COUGH*) who think the Warriors should have included JK in trade offers for Lauri.

Warriors will trade for Jimmy Butler in exchange for Wiggins Hield Moody and Payton. Heat would want to move on from Jimmy Butler for sure. Warriors have git the assets in the young Hield, Wiggins Moody and Payton. All of whom are good 2 way players. Butker is a win now type of trade piece and it fits SC30 and Greens situation. Probably Buter with 2 other irrelvant pieces from the heat will be traded for Wiggins Hield Payton and Moody or perhaps Kuminga

No! I really like this mini rebuild that they made. Kuminga could be a 20ppg, Wiggins could be a 20ppg, we have 3 guys that could go off.. it's so hard to find great players in nba lol. The warriors are thinking about 5 years from now when steph is retired, green is probably retired or traded. We could trade Wiggins for draft picks, but still have a good team with Kuminga, podz, the young center that is balling right now could be 17 ppg, 10 rb, 8ast. Plus they are typically good at drafting…

If the current roster develops good chemistry, there might not be a need to make any trades. In fact, a major trade could be detrimental.
I actually think that they won’t make a trade if the team goes on an insane winning streak. Admit the front office was smart to wait if they do make a trade because if they do go on a winning streak, the value of players like Kuminga will be in the sky. Personally, I think if they have the depth they have and stay competitive at a high-level there’s no reason to mess with the chemistry and bring in another superstar.

The warriors have the same problem as last year. They need a center. Or go though the growing pains of playing Quinton Post.
Getting Butler would ruin the Warriors, short term and long term. They need both Wiggins and Kuminga to perform at a higher level, than Jimmy Butler alone can't provide this year. Then to have an aging Butler and lose a young Kuminga, plus Wiggins in his prime, plus draft picks. This is fools gold.
