Gil calls 🧢 on Doc Rivers

Kenyon Martin and Gilbert Arenas of the Gil’s Arena podcast call cap on Doc Rivers saying that he has never failed in his coaching career. Kenyon agrees that he has been successful in life, coaching in the NBA for so long, and having his son make it to the league as well. But blowing 3 3-1 leads in playoff series for the Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks, he has failed as an NBA coach. An underachiever in the NBA with so much talent on his teams. Gil won’t expand on the topic because he will be roasted for hating on Doc Rivers and the Milwaukee Bucks again. A changed man as we enter the 2025 NBA season and Season 3 of Gil’s Arena podcast.

Gil’s Arena every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30am PT / 2:30pm ET.

  1. So the players not playing better on the court are not coming up short? The ones that are actually scoring and “defending” 😅.

  2. A CHANGED MAN…lol, we saw it coming

Learn Gil LEARN. Late MATURATION is what we have here & many people suffer from it in 2024. Old schoolers like myself had 2 PARENTS in our lives for 20+ years. Without that, nearly 80% of the younger generation can not mature at an early age. Gil is maturing right before our EYES & he's taking us ALONG for this RIDE. Im enjoying it, though, because so many VIEWERS will understand & can appreciate the PROCESS.

  3. I love what Kenyon said cause y'all casuals love to act like because you had a long career in something you were great (example: "kwame played for 13 years how was he a bust?") Have y'all ever had coworkers you wonder how they been around for so long?

  4. Gil still burning about Doc not giving him an all star vote back in the day huh??? At least I think that’s the issue Gil has with him. 😂😂😂😂😂

  5. Yeah that’s true, if you want to look at it like he was able to get to the highest level, win one, have a long career, make a lot of money, and even get his son a chance to prove himself yes his career is amazing BUT when talking what’s expected from a NBA coach😂😂😂

  6. Doc the worst coach in NBA history he goes to all loaded teams with the best players and never wins anything but 1 chip with Boston he had Cp3 clippers era,Rondo Boston era,Embiid Sixers era,Giannis Mil Era and watch how the bucks don’t win nothing🤣🤣

  7. Buck's hired doc n fvcked over their chances of ever winning again 🤷🏽‍♂️

  8. Doc players failed him. How can y’all put players playn poor on da coach 🤦🏾‍♂️Doc a good ass coach man. U mean yea tell me the players he had couldn’t get one mo game to advance that’s on da players mane.

  9. IF he is responsible for the 3-1 collapses, then he is responsible for the success of the team even getting to that point. Things that many coaches cannot say. He is a decent coach but the players play, not the coaches

  10. It’s crazy all the focus be on Doc as s bad coach when its TONS of coaches who haven’t even achieved what he has. Hell, a lot are just plain awful but for sum reason he’s the poster boy for bad coach.

  11. It’s Crazy How A Coach Can Get All The Blame Like He Didnt Coach The Team To A 3-1 Lead… Yall Ever Thought Maybe The PLAYERS Got Content And Loss Focus ??

  12. Only reason why Doc keeps getting coaching jobs is because he does what he's told. My little sister can do what he's done with the rosters he's been gifted.

  13. Y’all can’t hit a 3-1 come back on the coach as a player. You have to act with a sense of urgency. I never got how that was his fault.
