How could you watch last season with Ham, then watch JJ’s podcast and think.. yeah JJ is a downgrade. He’s so obviously a better option. Hope the Lakers found their Pat Riley/Steve Kerr.
The Lakers look good with the new offense. Rui is doing better with JJ as the head coach. They look better in the paint too. They are missing Vanderbilt and Woods too.
They don't need a wing defender in the middle of the season, they're getting Jarred Vanderbilt back and you cannot find a much better one. Also Wood will come back and will add floor spacing from the bench. the problem the Lakers had this pasts years was bad signings like Russ and bad coaching like Ham, none of those are happening now (3-0 as i write this, first time since 2010!) so expect the bubble Lakers to show this seasoj¡n because as they proved with the US team, there's no better couple than Lebron and AD, period
Him assigning two veteran coaches as assistants was a big help for JJ as well. Just that coaching experience behind him. He has the mind/iq for the game but that guidance from a former head coach just bet helped a lot and now he’s been great
Everyone was calling me crazy by all the YouTube content creators for saying JJ Reddick hire was a massive W. Now they’re all making up reasons why they were wrong… The fact is they were emotional and we’re listening to all the analysts. JJ Reddick was known to be under coaches who kept him around because he was a sponge. He also is up on all the latest offenses and hates drop coverage, unlike the old heads. He also did podcast where he explained how he could change Anthony Davis and he could get LeBron to playoff ball .
almost every lakers play shown in this video contains a foul committed by them, a travel, a carry, just blatantly overlooked. sure they've upgraded what they do, but the bias they get on a nightly basis gifts them wins they dont deserve
A worse version of this team made the WCF. Laker fans who watched the team under Ham saw the stagnation of the offense…not that surprising were scoring so much better now.
My only concern with JJ is how he will look without AD. So much of what is done is through AD. Otherwise his offense looks great and the defense has been there as well

Why the hell did they sign ham? They went on an "exhaustive" search, LeBron and AD signed off on him. And he was obviously not good from day one.
