What We Saw In Jae Crowder’s Sacramento Kings Debut

Jae Crowder made his Sacramento Kings debut in style, contributing 8 points and 4 rebounds in 27 minutes of action. The 12-year NBA veteran hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to close the first quarter and helped set the tone for Sacramento’s gritty 115-104 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Malik Monk and De’Aaron Fox led the charge, combining for a clutch 17-2 run in the final five minutes. Domantas Sabonis added 27 points and 12 rebounds as the Kings snapped a four-game losing streak, dominating the paint with a 64-36 advantage.

Meanwhile, Minnesota’s struggles continued despite Anthony Edwards’ 29-point effort, marking their fourth consecutive loss.

  1. Off the bat, he can be the locker room vet. It might fall on Demar, but not sure if that’s his thing. Lyles was our semi enforcer, but now we got one.

  2. I don’t think any Kings fan thinks that he’s the one who is going to be the deciding factor for a playoff run. But he adds veteran depth to the roster and an outspoken toughness that we don’t have on the team outside of Monk.

  3. I’m actually glad that we added both Jae Crowder and Doug McDermott, and obviously DeMar DeRozen. This was the veteran presence that we have missed for the last few years. Still missing a 3 and D starting Power Forward.

  4. If he does what he does consistently then he is everything we need him to be. hit open 3s, defend, talk your sh*t and be a vet.

  5. Kings def need a dawg like Jae but lets not get ahead of ourselves, it was a Fox and Monk show in the 4th. But the glaring hole in the Kings is their 3pt shooting already on top of their back 3pt defense. Brown needs to stop veering off of their strength. And stop with the iso ball. it slows down the offense and it stagnates it which is why they look also discombobulated. They need to use DeRozen differently other than iso ball
