Of you've followed Franz since his rookie year, there was always something so mature about his game… His off-ball movement, his fundamental handles, his slashing and finishing, and improvements everywhere else. Tbh I lowkey thought this guy was better than Paolo, Franz was and is almost flawless
I honestly didn't expect them to go losen..i knew we have more than one star on this team..i want Paolo to not rush back and get 100% healthy for a deep playoff push
What's crazy is they have not one but two 6'10 point forwards that can give you 25+ PPG as well, they're only 22-23 years old and they're probably going to spend the next 6 years playing together. The Magic's future is bright.
Sorry I´m biased, but no matter what I will tell you again: there is something special about the top European players somehow. They are not that athletic, some of them (Franz not!) might carry some pounds too much here and there but they have a different tactical set as we use to play a different style of basketball over here in Europe. Top US players are normally hyper athletic but some of them are at their best in typical NBA like iso situations. You won´t see that normally from a european player, as the game here is more team orientated on defense and offense. But if you get a european guy over into the NBA you could take advantage of their team mentality and, as we see here, they are as talented that you can put them in iso situations too. Franz will be an All Star this year and the years forward also, Orlando has to make sure to get into top 4 Eastern conference, so they will have a shot of sending two guys to the All Star game as Paolo is a solid pick there too.
What this stretch of games for Franz actually means for the Magic going forward is going to be Epic. When P5 comes back, the endless river of double teams will start to dwindle to a normal rate. Teams are gonna have to pick their poison.
