There is a difference between hate and thinking he should not be the MVP of the NBA. It’s pretty lame hating on someone because you think he’s overrated. If he wins the MVP this year, which he has a decent shot at doing, the hate will only increase. If you think proving his skeptics wrong will get him less hate, then you’re delusional.

Honestly,talk of Tatum's greatness is disrespectful to Jaylen Brown at this point. The Celtics have to support Tatum and put him in position to succeed, whereas Brown lives and dies by how well he plays and has to put up with coaches, fans and media that insisst Tatum's better because his jumper is "pretty"

i wouldn't say he's hated. he's just not appreciated and that's 2 different things. imo, he's under appreciated coz for a star, he doesn't have an identity. tried hard to be a Kobe. when they won, copied the celebrations and comments of other players which doesn't feel organic, doesn't feel natural. example, saying "what are they gonna say now?" to everyone when he's not even the best player of the finals? curry said that same thing when he finally won FMVP. with that accomplishment, on top of the title, Curry is making a statement. for Tatum, it looks very much like a trying hard copycat.

Very few people hate Jason Tatum. Very likable guy. Some people don't believe he is truly an elite player because he has lacked an ability to deliver in clutch situations and makes a lot of poor decisions in clutch situations. He's getting better though and his potential is sky high.
