The Cleveland Cavaliers Made One Thing VERY CLEAR…
We already knew the Celtics will again be the team to beat in the eastern conference but this matchup with the 15-0 Cavaliers made one thing very clear. That being Cleveland are not a fluke and will be the Celtics biggest challenge in the east and this is why…

Could you see Cleveland beating Boston in the post season if both sides are healthy? ⬇
Lol some things to consider:
-Georges Niang, Ty Jerome and Craig Porter are not shooting 80% again
-Okoro and Strus got toasted by Tatum and Brown in last year's playoffs
-Levert might be a factor but again, cooked on D and streaky on offense
-Queta was -15 in 16 minutes. The Cavs only made runs when he was on the floor, he was the worst player on the floor tonight (yes, even Darius Garland). Porzingis returning means there will be much less of Queta
Even if Garland shoots better, the other players will regress back to the mean. Cavs have gotten better but they played the Cs last year without Porzingis. Celtics in 5
6:32 explain why you think this could've been a tech
The Cavs have been a rising threat in the East the last 3 years. Each season has seen impressive improvements the last 5 years getting more wins and going deeper and deeper into the playoffs. Cavs vs Celtics in the ECF is a very likely possibility. That series could go either way imho, but one thing is certain: THE CAVS ARE NO FLUKE.
Would have won easily at home, with garland on his game
7:00 let’s not do that tho they don’t have Porzingas 😬
Clevelands played a bunch of scrubs and lost when it counted. They never had the lead and were loosing by 21 at one point. With Zap back in the playoffs. Cavs dont stand a chance. When Celtics want the win its theirs.
Cleveland got this
Cleveland got hosed on calls all game long. Plus they were out for rotational players.
And Boston was only at 1
Cavs faced the worst possibility this game, I think we are the better team 💪🏿
Key points – Garland 3-21… That won't happen again… He go 5-21, Cavs win… Celtics made 22 3's over 50%… Likely not to happen again, they were scorching… That should-ve been a blowout, not reserve players helping a comeback… KP does not tilt the scale because of all the teams in the league, the Cavs have 2 bigs that can athletically step out on the perimeter with him… Also Strus, Levert & Okoro didn't play either… Strus & Levert can easily match any pts KP adds while Okoro is the Cavs best perimeter defender… I like the Cavs chances in a 7 game series…🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽
If only this, if only that. Celtics dominated the Cavs in the first half and let their foot off the gas in the 2nd and they still won. Come playoff time, they're not letting their foot off the gas, and last season proved that. AND STOP WITH THE INJURY EXCUSES. damn… Every team misses players. How can you say the Cavs could have won if they had their rotational players? Celtics were down their 3rd best player. If Cavs rotational players played, it would have taken shots away from Niang, Jerome and Porter would were abnormal hot. Cavs ain't beting the C's.
Idc how that game went, the Cavs are 16-1 rn. Boston played a great game but they caught DG on his worst day this season. That ain’t happening again.
When they inevitably play eachother this postseason:
Cavs in 6
the cavs were playing like they were gonna shit themselves from the pressure of boston in the first quarter. especially gaarland ngl. In the other games THEY started the games off quickly by getting a 20 point lead in the opening few minutes and then they slowed down. But in this match they were reluctant to take shots and was hard and sad to watch. I still cant believe that gaarland had such a bad game. he was missing open layups like wtf.
If the Celtics did not grow cold in the second half, what would the narrative be?
IT'S ABSUUUURD
Garland 6’1 and Mitchell 6’3 guarding Tatum and Brown showed how bad this game for the Cavs in terms of size match-up.
Not having any of the Cavs wing players was just too much.
Yet they fought until the end.
In the end of the day.Cleveland will lost in playoff time. They need more experience to win a series in Boston.
They add porzginas yet and we’re missing solid bench. That’s not good for cavs
Boston beats Cleveland as easily as they beat Dallas as the Cavs have the same issues with no 3 point defense, weak and exploitable guards that get shut down by the great defenders on Boston. They also start 2 non shooters against Boston’s 5 out offense. Cleveland need to trade Allen for some 2 way wings and probably Garland as well, cause he’s inferior to Prichard who’s Boston’s 3rd best guard 😂
All of the Cavaliers SF wing players were out due to injuries.. Cavs are better than the Boston L-tics‼️😭🤣
Cavs are trending so strongly in an amazing direction! Their system is rewarding everyone and they have A LOT OF GUYS UP TO THE TASK, so they win games in blowout fashion even with Mitchell and other stars sitting out.
If you’re talking worth mentioning that kp is more valuable than all of cavs inj
Cavs gotta button-up their perimeter defense. They have a lot of undersized and/or unathletic wings who can't match up with our guards/wings. They also try to funnel opponents into the paint as their defensive philosophy. That just plays in to Celtics drive and kick game. If Celtics launch threes AFTER getting two feet in the paint off the drive (and limit Queta's meaningful minutes), I don't think the Cavs can hang with the C's. Donovan is scary good but he's not gonna win a 7 game series single handed.
im ngl cleveland might be the sorriest undefeated team😭 the celtics were the 2nd actual good team they played and they lost
If Kenny would’ve put the pressure on the rookie Tyson and two way players LT JT I think we’d been better in Boston with them with all the injuries, but must’ve not wanted the pressure of the streak on the youth
Nailed it. No notes.
Just an EXCELLENT review!!!
Now we need the bucks to trade lopez for a bum like richaun holmes (Or bobby portis) for better depth than AJ green and Doc rivers
This is a weird take, but the only team in the east that may have a chance to beat boston in a 7 game series is probably a fully healthy magic. The cavs and knicks just dont have the defensive personal to beat bostons starting 5. Even if this matchup happened tho. I would still pick boston bc they are miles ahead offensively
The officiating was atrocious, Brothers was clevelands sixth man. This needs to be discussed and change FORCED, im tired of people ignoring it. Dont watch via official channels, dont buy merch or tickets. Sports betting is an epidemic
You sound as if you're implying garland not shooting well was dumb luck for the celtics. This was the celtics gameplan. You gotta give the celtics some credit for limiting garland. Especially horford. Garland didnt shoot well because of the celtics defense. There will always be someone on the opposing team whos going to not shoot well. Boston will always take at least 1 guy away.
Also keep in mind that the cavs came back because they kept attacking queta. That was the cavs adjustment. Remove him and replace with KP and suddenly the celtics have no holes to exploit anymore. Sure the cavs were missing okoro, levert and wade. Put them in. Do the celtics lose a pressure point? Nope. They still go back to the original gameplan: take away 1 of spida or garland (bait mobley to score 2s while staying home on shooters just like last year's playoffs) and attack garland/spida (just like last years playoffs again). Okoro can be there but he can only guard 1 guy. Whoever hes not guarding simply attacks garland/spida. The celtics on the other hand lose their pain points with Kp replacing queta. Cleveland goes back to targeting al horford as the worst defender. We all know how that turns out in most games.
Last night against Wizards Tatum and White were 0/16 from 3- If the Wiz were a half decent team could have beaten the Celts- Tatum is great but inconsistent- wish he had laid an egg against Cavs- even Brown was only 3/13 from 3
Don't over re-act to one game. U got to beat a Team 4times in the playoffs.
Ty Jerome could’ve played a little bit more for Garland
The story of this game was that Boston had a historic 3-point shooting night, and Cleveland couldn't make a bucket. On a normal night, Kenny Atkinson doesn't let Darius Garland shoot THAT bad and leaves him on the floor. The Cavs needed that quality loss to move forward in their development. This series is going to be the best in the league this year. I can't wait to see what these teams look like at full strength.
The refs called a horrible game and the Celtics entire team was on fire from the 3pt line.
Porzingus was out but so was Strus and Okoro and Boston barely won by 3pts.
If the Cavs are playing at this level in the playoffs I don't see Bostons entire team being on fire from the 3pt line more than once or twice in a 7 game series. Especially if Cleveland has home court advantage Boston will be cooked.
