The craziest thing about the Rockets is that they are shooting a 7th worst in the NBA 44% from the field, and 5th worst 33% from three. What that tells you is that they are an elite defensive team, easily the best defense in the NBA. Their field goal percentages will rise over the course of the season, and once it does, it’s over for the rest of the NBA. Please just don’t do anything stupid like trade for a “star” now. I want them to stick with this core to the end. Unless they’re getting an MVP caliber guy in his prime, the value of chemistry that they are building together is worth way more than any supposed star power another player can bring. Please no KD, no Devin Booker, I don’t want any of those guys. The only players worth trading for is Giannis. That’s it. Maybe they can do something like trade Jabari, Cam, Brooks, and all of the Suns picks for Giannis and Grayson Allen. It would be happy with that trade. They then can start Tari at SF and Giannis at PF, and have Amen come off the bench at PG and SF.
See Jabari smith good literally be a bosh staudamire mix but the rockets play like every nba team does. Good ball handler and center and then a bunch of 3pt bots. Play them like the 2014 Indians pacer or a pau gasol kobe team and it becomes instantly more unique. I truly believe having your own style as a team makes you hard to do that. Just look at my cavs😎.
Stars in the making in H Town. I'll continue to say instead of trying to trade for a superstar they just gotta be patient and let the stars emerge from their own roster because there's potential everywhere on that team. And by recent contracts and comments from the owner Tilman it definitely seems like their goal is to keep this young core together
