CHICAGO — Celtics Guard Payton Pritchard took over late, dropping a season-best 29 points, including an electrifying 19 in the fourth quarter, to lift Boston to a 138-129 victory in Friday night’s NBA Cup pool game. Head coach Joe Mazzulla praised Pritchard’s expanded role this season, saying:

‘I just think it’s important, returning the exact same team, to find a different weapon and a different identity… He’s a complete player. I know it sounds weird, but he’s one of the best three-level scorers that I’ve seen, especially for his size.'”
