Toronto Raptors: Optimistic Statistics

Taking a look at the lineup data: are things about to break the Raptors way? Also an in-depth look at the 121-111 loss to the Miami Heat.

  1. I noticed this raptors team is far less fun to watch without gradey. He plays with so much energy that his absense is extremely noticeable.

  2. I can't wait for the home stretch. I think the longest the Raptors had was 2 games and they won both of them.

  3. I don't want a winning streak. They have lost too many games to see any strategic benefit of taking "run" at anything, they don't have all the pieces the need to be a serious contender, and the pieces they have (although surprisingly good on so many fronts) aren't fully complementary. Even if they got Cooper Flagg, I think they will need to make deals to optimize it. If they need the odd convincing win like the other night against the Pelicans to keep morale high then so be it. Chat GPT's take "While a winning streak could improve the Raptors' standing, the likelihood of securing a playoff spot remains slim. Additionally, a mid-tier finish might result in a lower draft position, potentially missing out on top-tier talent."
Thats the cold logic of it.
