Much better than Kawhi was as a rookie, even defensively. Seriously, Castle has been a top 5 POA defender in the league, going by eye test only. Only thing Steph needs,to become all star level,is improve his overall finishing. That's it. Impressive for a 20 year old.

Victor Wembanyama and his Teammate Stephon Castle 🏰 have the best duo nickname in the history of all sports players.
The Alien 👽 Victor Wembanyama will be the GOAT 🐐 of the NBA once he is done. He can play every position and his defense is as good or better than his offense. To say that he has an all around game is an understatement. Recording a 5×5 stat line in multiple games as a Rookie is insane. The Only other GOATS who have both offense and defense is Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon. And neither of them have Wemby’s 3 point shooting ability. Hakeem is the only other GOAT with the rare 5×5 stat line, and Wemby was already halfway to tying him All-Time in his Rookie season.
Wemby is the GOAT 🐐, and he will have at least 6 championships when he is done, which will solidify his GOAT status over Michael Jordan.
I throw in sochan in there i used to hate that guy but boy he improved this year prior to injury , with these 3 together deym defense is terrorizing , i believe a bobby portis combined with these 3 plus a consistent shooter , we are a 2nd round playoff team this year

I enjoy listening to Sam Vecenie because his analysis is well-researched. However, the delivery could be largely improved. The elocution often feels like he's reading, which can make it less engaging for listeners.
As a spurs fan, I'm so excited to see the development of Steph Castle! He's amazing so far but imagine if he fully develops his offensive bag. Might become SGA 2.0
I told the Spurs Castle should have been a starter instead of Champagnie when Vassell was recovering.
PATSFO has been scouting SC since he was in highschool. SC's father played with Duncan at Wake Forest. They know SC can shoot. By the EOY he'll be shooting NBA average.
Damn Olympics screwed up VW's development so he is slow getting up to speed early in the season. Then he missed 3 games.
Tre Jones is just back from injury so he and Barnes have played maybe 5 games together. Barnes won WC Player of the Week. He's been a great trade for basically nothing. And CP3 is a player-coach on the court. I hope both stick around after the trade deadline.
Depending on records, Spurs could have 2-3 lottery picks in the next draft. Dynasty in the making. The core they will build around is VW-Sochan-Vassell-Castle + two 2025 lottery picks. GM screwed up not taking Dalton Knecht with the #8 pick in 2024 draft.
