Ngl I'd support trading Zion for an up-and-coming player to shed salary so we can develop Hawkins and Trey. He'll somehow be a superstar on another team, but that's another topic.
Either (1) let BI and CJ play for rest of the year and evaluate what to do at the end of the season, or (2) let these old guys rest and properly tank while getting moral victories
Just give the rookies more minutes & you can see which way to build. Giving Theus minutes to Karlo seems like a no-brainer. Play Reeves more, jeez you traded up to get him. We see what we got & we tank. We are not going to make the playoffs & the 8th pick doesn't change our trajectory. I will trade all moral victories for a better draft pick.

I got an evaluation – Zion is unreliable and Brandon is a ball dominant number two… Trade them in the most cost effective manner.
For Moral victories I have just enjoyed them competing and playing hard. We have the record I expected them to have after Zion and Jose went down.
For Tanking me personally will wait till end of December to say go full tank. If we just have Jose and Zion out and can go on a run in December keep going. If we have just an ok to bad December then we should tank. This will be resting guys letting guys like Hawk, Reeves and Karlo get run and focusing on a trade to fix salary issue this season and next.
For keeping the guys it will be all about the trade deadline taking back expiring contracts and saving some money
If you tank, there is no guarantee you will get the player you want. Might as well try to win for the fans.
As soon as the draft was over in 2021, the first undrafted player I said we should go after was Jose' (best available point guard) and was delighted that we did, indeed, get him as an undrafted free agent. The energy he exudes on the court and his non-stop aggressive play makes him a favorite of mine. That said, I believe the time has come to admit that our love for the guy effort blinds us of his shortcomings. He's not the player that Eldrid is (Jose's impact is subjective; Eldrid's impact is objective and measurable), nor does his skillset or size offer the upside of Hawk or BBJ. So, I would move him at mid-year (perhaps as part of a CJ Trade).
Fans always see more in their team's player than is really there (Zion anybody?). So, thanks, Jose; your place in Pelican's lore is cemented in place, but your time has come to go.

The Definition of Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results. We been doing this stuff every season and still haven't gotten further than the Play-In and First Round of the Playoffs. Moral Victories mean NOTHING! Moral Victories won't help you get to the playoffs and beyond. We've been injury prone, with the same medical staff, star players always hurt, either won't play or can't play due to Griff and the medical staff, Willie Green as head coach is inept when it comes to coaching. Guys take too long to ramp up to get back to playing good basketball. Yet, people here sitting here talking about trying to win to make the playoffs! 😂😂🤣
