Mikal Bridges SPEAKS OUT After Being BENCHED! Knicks Holding TEAM MEETING… | Knicks News
The New York Knicks have a defensive problem with a player that shouldn’t be having defensive issues, that player is Mikal Bridges. The Knicks traded 5 first round picks for Bridges with the hope that the same defensive intensity he displayed with the Phoenix Suns, with the Brooklyn Nets, would also be present. Nearly 20 games into the season and we still haven’t seen THAT Mikal Bridges yet. Instead, we’re greeted by an unfocused and easily beaten on defense version of Bridges that needs to be benched in order for NY to win a game. After the benching, Bridges spoke to the media and let everyone know exactly how he felt about it. Josh Hart also spoke about the issues the team is having with Mikal, noting that NY will likely have a team meeting soon about it… Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

Cam Thomas is better than Mikail Bridges, he can't play D either.
His offense is not horrible. Outside of his three point shooting, he is fine. Offense doesn't make good defense. Defense makes good offense.

Little known fact about Bridges, from high school to the NBA Bridges has missed only 1 or 2 games his entire career. Thibs should rest this man more. Lower his minutes and put him in situations that's better for Bridges.

Let him come off the bench for now and come in with deuce, cam and a center with Josh or og staying in. He will find his form. Sometimes u need it

To me I think he's burnt out. I mean this man haven't miss a game since high school. Dante is not having a great time in Minnesota either., they talking about trading him? Plus last year we still lost 30 games with him. These guys are NBA players not machines. And Thibs is not helping playing his players 40 minutes a game??? When are we going to start blaming him???
Im not worried about bridges hes a beast. For some reason he's not fitting in with the starting line up i think thibs should bring him off the bench and let him run that second unit remember he was the man in brooklyn now hes behind towns jb and og and he needs to stop with the new shooting style and get back to his brooklyn style
This the first real team I like that the Knicks had in years. I mean give them a chance we haven't won a Championship in over 50 years. It's not just Malik Bridges. Brunson had a lot of bad games this year also. As soon as Kat have a bad game you guy's jump all over him?

I agree with Hart you can't kick a man when he's down. I'm sure Mikal is just as frustrated with the way he has been playing as us the fans are. Encourage him support him it'll come around in i rather that he goes through this slump now and figure it out versus him playing well now and then he slump during the playoffs. Brunson was in a slump for about 5 games hart was in a slump the first 5 or 6 games duece OG isn't shooting the ball on the road like he was 3 games ago could it be fatigue. They're home for the next 4 or 5 games so maybe having a home cooked meal with help decompress and reset these guys.
