Why No One Wants To Pass To Rudy Gobert

Why No One Wants To Pass To Rudy Gobert

When Rudy Gobert intentionally got a 3 second violation in defiance of Julius Randle ignoring him, it led to the Minnesota Timberwolves losing the game and might have uncovered a serious problem with the team. Coach Nick breaks down what happened and why.

  1. Last game…one of the biggest runs against the Wolves started with Ant not passing to an open Rudy just to turn over the ball. The Wolves will keep loosing if this continues. I’m not a Rudy fan…but I am a team basketball fan. Gotta figure it out. Rudy needs to get 16 points a game on dunks for the team to be successful. Ant…Jordan learned to pass and started winning championships. It’s a team game…period.

  2. Kwame brown vibes with a big man not having hands to catch the ball lol

I didn’t realize till now just how much of a detriment it is if your big man can’t even catch the ball consistently

  3. Where is Garza? They need to have Garza and Dillingham start! Conley and Rudy come off the bench

  4. I hate Gobert, but is the focus on turnovers critique fair considering he has never averaged more than 2 turnovers a game in has played 30+mins for 10+ years?

  5. Stop it everyone turns the ball over and tbh if your big has those kinda matchups they should be throwing the ball inside to gobert everytime its the whole team fault they're loosing bc there shutting him out

  6. "with Randle not to far behind". Coach Nick you can't be that biased. Towns stats were FAR FAR better on every single metrics you've shown @5:26 except passes (but let's be honest 4 vs 4 AST per game don't change that much, it's low).

  7. Keep in mind this is the same Rudy Gobert that was benched for the french national team. Speaks volumes…

  8. Imagine trading KAT for Randle.. goodness gracious. Ant might ask for a trade in a couple years, for sure ..

  9. Despite Draymond Green's antics, he was right about Rudy Gobert. If your star player ask you to clear out, you should get off the lane and position yourself for a rebound without shovelling the defence to the side.

  10. Gobert is too soft, lacks emotional intelligence and is offensively non-existent.

We wasted too many resources to get him, with which we would’ve gotten other better options as our center.

  11. i have been screaming for garza. he is a really good offensive wep like reid and playing off the bench he was dropping solid ppg and really good per 36. but we only playt reid and gobert

  12. As a Knicks fan, the lack of emphasis put on Randle this video was startling. It looked for a second like he might be talked about more critically, but we breezed right past it. Randle gives little effort on defense and has very poor tendencies on offense. He consistently has a poor attitude and brings his team down. Yeah, he is a great player and can be a positive contributor, but this has been a clearly defined trend that Gobert has become the most recent scapegoat for. This is not to excuse Gobert of his misgivings, especially on offense, but to basically avoids Randle and place little to no fault on him just seems disingenuous.

  13. I Don't know why they traded away towns 😂
They make a deep run also defeating the defending champion dumb decision

  14. Turnovers that could have led to dunks are less bad than turnover that could have led to bad shots. Feels a bit unfair to blame the Wolves' season on Rudy rather than Randle, despite Rudy's unprofessional (but also understandable) frustrations and poor hands (that have always been poor)

  15. I mean, the problem is that this is five basketball players on the court…not a team. You can see that on both sides of the ball. That's as a Celtics fan looking in…someone with no real bias or interest one way or another with the Wolves.

  16. Randle is a horrible teammate, im not even a Gobert fan by a long shot but dude is a cancer to play with. Knicks couldn't have traded him faster and to see the Wolves record this season versus last season….SPEAKS VOLUMES!
