Houston Rockets Cam Whitmore 26 points in win for the Vipers
The Vipers continued the Houston Rockets organization winning ways vs Oklahoma City as they ended the Blue five game winning streak 128-124. Vipers are now 5-4.
Cam Whitmore had a great all around game last night in the win finishing with 26 points on 10-16 shooting and 6-11 from 3 and 7 rebounds.
Whitmore was also a game high plus 30 in a 4 point win. More importantly 6 assists and only 1 turnover.

Offense – Don't Play Iso Ball, look for open shooters.
Work on Assists, Pick and Roll Shot or pass to open shooter. Pick and Roll Defense.
The more Depth on the Rockets the better.
Hopefully it clicks with Cam, playing within the system. Making great passes, great defense.

Unfortunately he’s probably going to be traded… there isn’t a place in the rotation for him… we have to many overlapping players that play multiple positions… Reed Sheppard is getting the minutes he was getting last year… I feel bad for Cam because he has a lot of potential… but I guess our system doesn’t work for him for whatever reason… which is puzzling, because I see him as a Jaylen Brown type of player
Reed Shepherd and Cam were dynamic together in the summer league. Cam is a talent oozing offensive ability.
He will either wind up being a JR Smith type if he has a questionable mental approach, or he could be as good as Jaylen Brown if he focuses on the right things, which someone else mentioned.
But there is no guessing with young men which direction they will go.
