  1. i get that jt was getting great looks in the mid/short range shooting over garland. the problem is those are 2 pointers. mitchell was getting 3s hunting kp n al. thats how cle came back. so as much as those are great looks for jt over garland unless hes hitting them at the rate you might get at the rim its better that he draws help n kicks for 3s or just go get a layup where hes efficient enough to keep up w a 3pt shooting team. if he made his layups no1 would have an issue w jts game down the stretch. i thought his process was solid.

n i agree in the small sample simple shot conversion matters more than shot value but they were back n forth for the last 6/7 min. thats too long for jt to be hunting middies regardless of whos guarding him

  2. Cavs shouldn't feel good about barely being able beat Celtics WITHOUT Porzingis, Brown, White…etc. I remember Cavs fans tried to blame the first loss on OKORO being out… lmao Jaylen Brown,Porzingis,White are ALL 20+ppg level scorers WITH All Defensive skills..lol

  3. Bro, the last time you said a word about wembanyama or San Antonio was in the fucking summer… You know they exist right? You do know they play games too right?

  4. luka looked so much better vs the blazers i this run of games they all have had a huge boost in confidence cant weight to see them all back

  5. MAILBAG: Bucks ahead of the Knicks is an egregiously bad take. Not only did they beat the Bucks, but they’re 9th in the league Bucks aren’t 15th. Knicks are 6th in net rating Bucks are 15th. Knicks have the NUMBER ONE OFFENSE in the entire league…ahead of Boston, Cleveland, Denver, Dallas, Lakers, etc. Bucks aren’t even top 10 in offense and are 14th in defense so they’re not even elite at that. Knicks defense will improve with Mitchell Robinson and Precious returns in a week. I can understand all the other teams ahead of them but not the Bucks. Love ya Jason, you’re the best in this space and I’m a loyal viewer but you couldn’t be more wrong here I’m sorry.

  6. Crazy you don’t talk about grizzlies. I know they beat bad teams bud they are a 1.5 games behind 1. Literally on a six game win streak. Top 5 defense and offense and best rating in the last two weeks. Hating Small market bias, again I guess 😂

  7. Reason Jalen green isn’t playing good rn is cuz they doublin and triple teaming him in the paint so he just lets Fred run the show

  8. How long until Lebron and Bronny are the first father son duo on a G league team because he's shooting like ass.

  9. The Tatum love is hilarious. If I'm the Cavs, I'll take a Tatum 2 point jumpshot every single time down the court. Because eventually he'll start bricking (2/7 in Q4) and you can trade 3s for 2s even when he makes them.

  10. IDC what anyone days, I don't see the cavs giving the Celtics problems in a 7 game series. Boston has built up that scar tissue in the playoffs, and the cavs haven't. Regular season winning doesn't have anything with the grind of the playoffs. Donovan Mitchell will definitely go back to playing selfish basketball. He ALWAYS does. Boston knows how to pull out wins, whether it looks pretty or not

  11. As a warriors fan, I totally understand Jason's take on how we're doing lately. It's been an awful time to hit a funk with the difficulty of our schedule at the moment. We haven't been playing good basketball and I feel like part of the problem has been the deep rotation keeping guys from getting their rhythm back. On the one hand, playing so many guys keeps everyone fresh, and if we're all hitting shots it can be terrifying for other teams defensively. But when guys slip out of rhythm, the deep rotation means they aren't given long enough stretches to get their groove back. Really, it's been the fourth quarters. The game will be close, or we'll be leading, and then we will straight up not score for five minutes straight and the other team will take the lead and put it away before we start fighting back.

The fourth quarter problem stems exclusively from the controversial decision to sit Steph Curry the first five minutes of every fourth quarter. We've blown a 17 and an 18 point lead in the last four games because we'd stick these impotent lineups with no offense on the floor for the first five minutes of every fourth quarter since we've been searching for a solution to Melton being out for the year. Steve Kerr is fantastic when it's time to win in the big moments in the playoffs when he's got the horses to make it happen. But when he's in a battle I feel like he tends to ignore the flow of the game and just do whatever his original plans were. Which KILLS us so often. Losing Melton has been an enormous setback for the warriors since he was really the best fit for the starting role on the team next to Steph. Without him, our subs have been completely derailed and it's destroyed our momentum that we'd established in the first few weeks of the season.

I think what needs to happen now is the warriors might have to make a trade before the deadline earlier than expected. And the kind of move we need to make changes with the loss of Melton. Before, we ideally would be able to get a forward who can score and switch defensively as a second or third option. However, losing the starting shooting guard means that, to the delight of Steve Kerr's guard obsession, we might end up having to make a move for a backcourt partner for Steph. Personally, I think we need to just rip the bandaid off, quit dragging our feet, and start Moses moody. He's more than earned it, and while he doesn't have the offensive ceiling of a Buddy Hield or Podz, Moody from the jump has frankly felt like the obvious choice given his ability to contribute on both sides.

  12. Nobody is beating the Celtics in a 7 game series. The evolution in shot making by White and Pritchard are ridiculous. A healthy KP makes them KD Warriors unbeatable.

  13. Tatum had Garland guarding him all night and he shot 44% from the field. Mitchell had Holiday on him all night and he shot 57% from the field. Listening to this analysis you'd think Tatum shot an efficient 50pt game against jalen Williams

  14. Timpf you’re the man but gotta give Pritchard a shout out on how well he’s been playing. He adds a whole other layer to Boston’s offense.

  15. what happened to the LeFrozen One in Minnesota? any comments on the horrific +/- LeBalco has been posting? where is this genius JJ reDICK?

  16. Rockets fan here, and I think you're fair and spot on about where the Rockets currently stand. In the playoffs we have to be able to shoot from 3 because the refs can easily negate the Rocket's strength on defense by calling ticky tack fouls.

  17. Great analysis on the Rockets. I do think their best ball is ahead of them as their offense gets more consistent.

I do think they win a round in the playoffs, but you're right. Their path is built for the long run.

  18. The Celtics are still the best team. They won with JB and DW out, and it was a close win that actually the Celtics should have won. Good luck beating the C's in a 7 game series.

  19. Cleveland had to mount a huge comeback against a team missing brown and white haha. Yeah that's the 2nd time Cleveland has to mount a huge comeback. If the Celtics are healthy, the Cavs are no threat

  20. Love how confident folks here are that the Celtics are in a different league than every other team.

One championship with this group and they are more inevitable than Golden State in the 20-teens.

Anything less than a dynasty, and this team is a failure.

Celts fans will claim that they were robbed and cheated if they don’t win the next two rings, because clearly, they are in a class of their own.

    😂😂😂

  21. Darius needs to fight harder to not get switched on to JT. I appreciate his effort, but he will never be the ideal defender in that situation. Get Mobley on him, or literally anyone else is a better situation.

DG keeps immediately switching onto the matchup the opponent wants. If he can’t get over himself he needs to get traded while he has max value.

  22. The Warriors can beat the Celtic in seven if they attack the basket they make too many three points. They need to attack the basket. Draymond, Andrew and Kuminga need to attack the basket stop with these trees and attack the basket.

  23. Saying the Rockets will lose in the first round isn't hate, especially considering how many people didn't think the Rockets would be able to make the play-in. You're higher on them then every casual.

  24. The scariest thing about the Celtics now is the massive leap Payton Pritchard has taken.

PP comes into the game and they immediately start tattooing opposing benches.

Teams have to beat the Celtics starting 5 by a lot in order to win now

  25. Jason,

I am surprised to hear how much you liked the shots Tatum was getting when hunting Garland, particularly at the end of the game. As a Cavs fan, I was really happy when that was the Celtics late game offensive process. What makes the Celtics so good is they just have more high quality guys that can shoot or attack close outs than most teams. Hunting Garland basically neutralized that advantage and made their success come down to a low efficient shot that almost no team wants their players taking (contested mid-range shots). It is hard to watch a smaller player consistently put into 1 on 1 situations over and over and Tatum will convert on some possession playing that way (as he did in this game) but I will take that 100% over the ball movement and spraying 3s. We just could not keep up with the math problem that presents.

Would love to hear your thoughts on that. Thanks!

  26. Celtics don’t have to worry the Cavs lol, the cavs wont even get past the Magic, Knicks, Bucks or a healthy 76ers.
