How I imagine Chauncey at halftime: "Ok, that was a good first half. We shared the ball on offence and got some great shots. Now lets try something different – no more passing the ball; instead let's just have one guy dribble for 23 seconds and then take a 3 with a hand in his face. Oh, and one more thing – Deni was on fire, so he's not allowed to touch the ball any more."
Banton and Avdija are so much better than Simons and Grant.
I think Coach is doing a lot of good things. He still struggles at times with match ups and creativity. He needs to play the best players at their positions and why he would start Simonโs over Banton is an example of playing the best players at their positions. Weโre not interested in the 2-3 times a year inferno. Heโs the reason the Clippers gaurds were cooking.
The attack worked well when Danny led it, but suddenly they stopped playing through him and that's where the loss began.
Get deni off the bench, he should be playing 30 mins every single night
