The Indiana Pacers 2nd Half Comeback Falls Short to the Raptors in a Career Night for Scottie Barnes

Alex Golden and Mike Facci recap the Pacers 122-111 loss to the Toronto Raptors, allowing Scottie Barnes to score a career high and failing to play with effort until the midway point of the 3rd. The guys discuss what went wrong in the game, what they notice far too often with this group of players, decision to not put Toppin back into the game to close, Tyrese Haliburton FINALLY having a GREAT road performance (statistically) and it not mattering, and more!

  1. Not everyone from your bigs to your guards can play like passive sissys and ever be good on Defense. They don't even try, 0 tenacity. Who else besides me could have seen this downfall coming. Smh..

  2. If the pacers looses to a team open for other team to shop from to improve there roster, The Pacer management needs to talk hard and evaluate how the coaching staff is currently doing it's job.

Or changed there style to sustain the energy and accept playing the halfcourt.

  3. Ironic how the Raptors seem to be getting better since the trades last year. Shows that chemistry, style, freedom and vibes mean a lot. Not that they have won more than last season by this time.. But they aren't any worse than they were last season. Had they kept OG, they most definitely would have been better. Because he is absolutely an elite defender and triple threat Offensively. Raptors now seem to be much better all around.. which proves my point as to how no one guy in Pascal wasn't a reason to go after. Now the Raptors have the cap flexibility and picks to do whatever they'd want. As well as our draft 1st in 2026.. Had I had my choices over the year's. No way this team wouldn't be one of the best right now. Bs is soo frustrating..

If Haliburton has aggravated that hamstring a couple time's since his injury.. I'd sit him down until spring and take the L's idc.. Then I'd say everyone except a handful of player's are available for trade. Idc. Only Hali, Mathurin, Nesmith, Obi and Nembhard. Would I consider depending on the offers.. Because I believe they jumped the gun like crazy pushing for the playoffs last year.. Nothing against the other guy's. I'm only trying to get back to being a younger developing team. With a strong focus on adding those multifaceted player's who can play solid D… Good on Offense and all while trying my best to not totally disrupt the team's style/offense.. It pisses me off they didn't just keep their picks. Then pushed for OG in the off-season.. If they wanted him, but I would have put all my effort into signing Hartenstein as priority, traded for Caruso and signed Naji Marshall. Drafted either Missi/Dunn. Then Kolek and Jaylen Wells who was always the one I wanted the most for our pick spot late.. I dare anyone to tell me that isn't a much better team and approach for us. Traded our last couple seconds outside of our 3 picks back into year's 2025/26.. We could have had a great draft and been a team full of enthusiasm/chemistry/vibes. It's so hard for me to think about what could have been. They still would have lost Heild and Brown I'm sure.. But instead of basically giving them away. I would have let them know how much I appreciated them and went from there.. Traded Brown for picks, whoever. Then shopped Turner and looked to resigned Jalen Smith. Why, because Jalen Smith was basically the younger version of Turner.. and you would have been able to of traded Myles in the off-season. For a 1st and another younger player. Rather than risked losing him for nothing. Trading Myles for preferably a bigger SF wing type who could play multiple positions. Or could have been a solid young/big C/PF type. Depending on who we would have selected in Dunn, or Missi.. Went from there and then we would have been the team full of energy and optimism. Instead of giving all that positive new energy to the Raptors.

I feel like I've said this stuff before. Lol 😅 btw, has anyone seen the dimes and screens this year from Hartenstein?? While he's also barely played because of injury.. but has still looked amazing in the minutes I have seen him.. Dude is the best C in the league outside a few C's. I can only imagine how amazing Hartenstein would have been for Hali and our team's overall success/style.

  4. Raptors have had the toughest schedule in the nba and has been a top 5 injured team. Raptors are only 2 games behind the Pacers and rapidly improving. They're just the better team who will likely have a better record by season's end.

  5. Until the team comes out night after night, wanting to assert their dominance, playing with all they have, fighting as hard as they can, we will not be a good team. They are playing soft. And it's really obvious

  6. We need to make a trade for a starting forward and a backup center or a new center and coach. Hopefully management can add some new blood in the franchise

  7. Y'all are to quick to get rid of a Coach!!You make the ECF and next season you want him gone?!?!!that isn't the answer, discipline is!knowing your assignment executing and staying on task.how is the focus perimeter defense to eliminate the 3s and you allow so many open 3s.star players have to step and lead with aggression.Go Pacers!!!!

  8. This team has no heart or energy they had last year that was fun to watch. This year can’t even watch the games they’re really hard to watch

  9. The Pacers pace early was way too slow. The Pacers need a backup center. They bring in Moses Brown and the first thing he does is cause an offensive goaltend causing 2 points to come off the board. Walker was also a walking turnover. He would have been benched if it wasn't for his size. I also thought he couldn't defend.

  10. Bro ….: if the worst team in the league beats you twice, what does that make you ? Toronto is intentionally tanking yet they beat you twice, what does that make your team ? You need to face reality. Your team sucks.
