Every bottom dweller team looks at their schedule and circles the Pacers as a win.
Pacers team need to play with force, aggression, pace, the team is being hunted. Defense first approach required.. Other teams have improved and are playing Pacers fast pace and have adapted to defending the play style… Pacers still don't know how to utilize Pascal Siakam skills, and how to make fast/zip passes to him before defense reads it…Scottie, Lowry , FVV make those bullet passes to him angles, pick n roll plays, and let him handle the ball sometimes to manipulate defenses… Pacers don't do that, and teams know it. Last night Raptors trapped him with 2 players Scottie and Jak, and Pacers had no answers to free him. Rough shooting night..

The team has too many lackadaisical effort guys along with a very slow Myles Turner. Watch other teams big, they are spending alot of effort screening to get others open on screens both on and off ball. Myles waddles out to the 3pt line occasionally screening but mostly ghost screening which he does so "he" can try to get the pass. Mathurin / Walker effort is just terrible. Walker makes lazy passes for turnovers and does not take care of the ball on drives. Mathurin's defense is bad and lazy, but more troublesome in big moments he will essentially turn the ball over by taking a highly contested drive with a very low percentage chance of making it. In close games you need to "rebound" "defend" and take "high percentage shots". Mathurin just takes some terrible shots at critical times which essentially is a turnover that doesn't show on the stat sheet.
To me, it was finishing easy shots that cost the Pacers this game. How many turnovers did the Raptors cough up, and we couldn't score to save our lives! layups, dunks, floaters
Toronto is a better team than the Pacers. Injuries all season have hurt their record but they have been in every game, especially against the top teams in the league except Cleveland.
The Raptors are missing Quickly and Dick both starters. When the team is healthy the league is in for a rude awakening.
