For Shaq to say the Magic's success has nothing to do with coaching is evidence that simply playing the game doesn't mean your analyses are always sensible. He even disrespected the great Phil Jackson π€¦
I think and I could be wrong , but I think Shaq was saying he didnβt need the coach to motivate him to be better , he took it upon himself to play better β¦ he was referring to motivation more than coaching . Maybe Iβm confused but I thought thatβs what he meant . Shaq loved Phil Jackson so I donβt think heβd disrespect him that way .
