Hate to say it but most fans and even the coaches and players were feeling themselves because we were beating bad teams for the last few weeks to a month but like last year, this will happens when we play elite teams. Here’s the short bullets points: we need to play Mo more minutes, give him more touches down low/more post plays and run the offense around him when he’s on the floor from free throw line and below like the triangle or Princeton offense. We need to stop half court setup threes with these guys because they can’t shoot for dear life for the past 3 plus years yet the coach is blind I guess idk. Also we need a guard/guards who can handle the rock, and draw double teams and kick it to the open player, hopefully down low for the easier basket, we need to make a trade for this for sure. And use our size to draw fouls and get to the free throw line, even though Mo won’t get calls, it’s the higher percentage regardless, more fast breaks, and Franz is not a guy like Paolo who can play one on one all game, he’s doesn’t have that kind of bag and get others involved.
The Magic need to be concerned. The problems we saw last night are the ones we saw last season.
Magic need help in the front-court and a PG who can score off the dribble.
Magic have a development issue. They spend the entire off-season shooting 3s. Why didn’t Suggs and Black spend any time this summer working on their dribbling and drives to the basket?
Does anybody actually work on strength and conditioning? The Magic get out-muscled in the paint against even bad teams with size up front.
And let’s not even mention footwork. It’s horrible.
These are easy things to improve, but they never do.
Too much emphasis on the 3-point shot. They can’t shoot it consistently but insist on shooting 3s per night.
Magic are like a lot of teams across all sports, victims of analytics.
D grade, but at least we passed… 😅 Let's go Magic!🌠🏀
no goga no paolo, when we have them we’ll be just fine.
It’s one game. On the road vs a good team. Without the star player. That being said, we need the guards to be more aggressive- especially suggs. Too many three point attempts. He’s not an elite shooter, we are better when he’s aggressive. It feels like he has been pressing too much with paolo out, where as franz is playing more within the flow of the game
They fold when the lights get bright, especially on the road.
That was really disappointing, they couldn't even make it competitive.
Knicks fan here. Magic remind me of our team 2 years ago. They are a top 8 team in the league. They will get better when Banchero gets back. See you in the playoffs. Hopefully we meet in the ECF!!!!
I notice orlando have a hard time scoring against defensive teams they can dish it but can't take the same energy when a team push back, but this game show me we gotta trade Wendell for more shooters gogo has clearly out perform Wendell at the center spot
Knicks fan here, can't wait to play you at full strength, just let this one go
Knicks fan here (not gloating). See you guys in the playoffs this should be a fun new rivalry. Love the physical play, brings out the best in our guys and Kat needs that push to be his best
Magic are good enough to beat bad teams without Paolo but need him to beat good teams it’s that simple
