The most important stat for determining MVP is the P.E.R. Giannis has moved ahead of Jokic as the number 1 player in the NBA in P.E.R. in addition, Giannis is number 1 in the NBA in scoring.

Fun Fact: David Robinson was always dominating the advanced statistic categories, because the Spurs could not acquire or develop talent around him. I think that his carry job of the Spurs during the 90s was better than Kevin Garnett carrying the Timberwolves during the 2000s.

Most underrated part of his game is how good of a passer/playmaker he’s become. His gravity in the paint is by far the highest in the league, so he’s able to get great looks for Trent/Prince/Green. Hell there was one game (I think it was against the Bulls) a week ago where he got dame 10+ FEET OF SPACE ON A THREE. If he keeps up his midrange and get his ft% up to 70, this is one of the best peaks in basketball history period.

Giannis has always had far greater agility than Thon Maker. Maker always looked stiff to me.
This is exactly why he didn't need to shoot 3's. With a mid-range, he'll dominate, why make it more complicated than it needs to be.
