LaMelo Ball the BEST PG in the NBA

LaMelo Ball the BEST PG in the NBA

Brandon Jennings and Gilbert Arenas of the Gil’s Arena podcast debate if LaMelo Ball of the Charlotte Hornets is the BEST point guard in the NBA right now. Brandon Jennings thinks the dual threat PG is making a case for it. Even with a bad team he is still averaging almost 30 points a game and is balling for the Hornets. Gil says the new type of guard has to be able to pass and shoot. He is one of those players who can do it all. He has advanced the game of the point guard position in the NBA and will continue to improve during his career. He might be more pass friendly but can score the ball at will too. This inside the nba take comes from the Gil’s Arena podcast airing every week during the NBA season.

Gil’s Arena every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30am PT / 2:30pm ET.

  1. Been saying since last year he took that Edwards is the new face of the league campaign personally cause he knows he’s the actual best 22 & under player but that market nba pushed behind Edwards was unheard of so my boys back to put an end to all that shxt 😭

  2. Kyrie Irving is the most talented and skilled player, not just the NBA, the world will ever see. By stats Melo could definitely be the best point guard.

  3. A true point guard at his size he just needs a decent team around him and they will be contenders

  4. I can tell they don’t actually watch cuz LaMelo will go 6/17 from 3PT range and people will only praise those 6 3pointers

  5. He’s literally lonzo ball but more aggressive offensively but kinda lacks the defense lonzo applies. Those two on the same team would be a nightmare mello at the 1 Zo at the 2

  6. Agreed, in todays game most PGs are score first. Like gil said he's an hybrid that can switch from modern PG style and easily go for 30, with 40-50-90 splits from all three scoring levels or he can also control tempo, distrubute the ball, etc like a traditional PG he meshes those styles together well most nights. Not to mention he's 6'6-7 so even playing minimal defense its hard for smaller guards to get around or by him has the intangibles like his brother Zo to be a great defender when locked in great take Gil & B.Jennings!

  7. It’s only two things that’s stopped lamelo from being a top 3 pg all time and that’s health and team success

  8. Much respect to Melo Ball bruh, but damn, can we see Melo in a postseason series first bruh 🤷🏿

  9. What about winning, does this not matter anymore? Is LB good in crunch time, and is he elite on defense, just being honest, how?

  10. B Jennings drunk 😂😂!! Curry, Kyrie, Trae, Shai, Fox….. Just to name a few

  11. He gotta go to a different team, a better one. And hopefully get around more experienced veteran players as well.

  12. He’s the only player that plays like he’s having fun and makes everything difficult looks easy vs competing which is kinda of scary if you think about it
