Lakers fan says complaining about free throw diff is childish lol
He makes sure to make 2 videos of the Celtics losing but not one video about the Celtics beating the heat by 19 without porzingis, holiday, or horford
The way you said what the Warriors need and what the Lakers need makes it sound like they should make a trade together
Dallas had 23 more free throws in that fourth quarter
Stop the cap. Refs should not decide games
Not enough warriors slander in the comments
Great take on the Mavs. A lot of media members are slow to acknowledge it because of Luka skepticism, Kyrie skepticism, or whatever else, but Dallas has all of the things that people look for in good teams. They have two indisputably high-level shot creators. They have a rotation of athletic, versatile rim protectors. They have an interesting collection of multi-talented wing players with size and tools. They rebound and defend. They're young, aside from Kyrie, but they have playoff experience. They have good vibes. I think people would be higher on the Mavs if they weren't just tired of Luka.
Another disingenuous Jokic comment. He is LITERALLY doing stuff no other superstar does and it should be applauded not bundled into the other superstars in the league. No one has had his current stats in history not the last few years or this year…
Agree with everything you said about the Mavs. But there is yet one other player you failed to mention. Quentin mother effing Grimes. He’s been lighting it up and playing great D. This team is extremely deep. Hopefully they stay healthy until Exum gets back. That would give them a FOURTH reliable ball handler, likely pushing Hardy to the end of the bench.
what happened to the buddy heild hype? that didn't last long.
mavs- Memphis: I wonder if yall actually watch the games. why is no one bringing up the fact that they were in the bonus from the 7th minute in the 4th?
hey jason mailbag: what do you think is going on with jamal murray? is it laziness and satisfaction with one ring? ive heard via denver beat writers that murray never comes into seasons in shape and doesnt rehab as hard as he could for injuries..is it confidence? either way for denver to do anything this year murray needs to wake up he just got a damn max contract and put a ton of pressure on the nuggets front office in order to do so!!! so frustrating as a nuggets fan.
WE BACKKKKKK
34:29 Praise Jesus! I can’t take another episode of Jason saying “the mavs just got lucky matchups in the playoffs”
Five lazy guys in the thumbnail who don't believe in shaving.😂
So relatable…
Mavs this year vs last year:
Luka = Luka
Ky = Ky
PJ = PJ but better
Lively = Lively but better
Gafford = Gafford
Hardy = Hardy
Klay > THJ
Naji > DJJ (worst defender but still good. Way better ofensive player and ball handler)
QG > Josh Green
Spencer > Dante (still on the team btw)
Maxi = Maxi
This team made upgrades all over the place and are very deep.
Its hard to see a team with legit 10 players to paly on playoffs.
The Grizzlies fouled the hell out of the Mavs, there was absolutely nothing iffy about the officiating. Everybody is sleeping on the Mavs again, Klay is still far from finding his role in this team especially offensively, surprisingly he has been much better on defense than we feared, and Luka is just starting to get his groove. Dallas played absolutely horrible last night, Kyrie and klay were really off and the Mavs had the most TOs they had in years and still found a way to win. Thx to Marcus Smart from the Mavs fanbase, one of the dumbest performances i have ever seen, from dumb fouls to taking transition 3s in situations where even amazing shooters should not take them, the extra possession from his attempt to save a airball 3, he won the mavs that game more than anybody else.
I don't remember Gaff & DLive ever being on the court together?? Am I wrong?😂
Lakers fans still complain about that missed call on Tatum from a regular season game that happened last year lmaooo
Mavs look scary, I'm just not sure how they'll match up against the Cavs and Celtics. I think they match up against the West, though. Everyone but Golden State if they can figure their stuff out.
“You won’t be able to outscore Boston….” You know, the THIRD highest scoring team, who Dallas held to 101ppg in the Finals.
Seriously, sometimes you say the dumbest things….
Mavs fan here. You my friend beat out all of the NBA media “analysts”. Good job actually providing substance behind your takes.
Did you just forget about quentin grimes? Didn't say his name once while talking about depth and options. You even mentioned Hardy.,
Can hardly wait until the Lakers Heat recap…"I really saw a lot of great things out of the Lakers last night moving forward to the rest of the season"..
Grimes has been in a tear lately and you failed to mention him. We're in a good position rn. All we need is a good backup 4 and we're at everybody's necks.
PJ got his head smacked by JJ worth a flagrant but he got just a foul, ridiculous. There were so many like that, the referees were like favoring Grizzlies many times. If Mavs got so many FT it is just that they were attacking the rim more, slow enough to get a foul. Grizzlies were attacking basically Ja which goes so fast he cant be fouled most of the time. And Grizz are basically too rought+¿ physically, that´s their problem.
Lakers are cooked
Marcus Smart was the MVP of the game. Stupid foul on Luka twice, tried to save a ball that was going to be Memphis and gave it to Dallas, and that PJ 3 from Luka, Marcus was LOST looking at Luka. PJ was wide open.
Denver got lucky due to free throws
The Mavericks are a top 3 team in the league, you are correct. Love the analysis, you’re maybe the best in the business as always.
I agree in principle with your take on the replay review FTs that Lively got in the 4th, but that's how it has to be. Refs letting contact go and then calling the out of bounds the wrong way to make up for not calling the foul is such an insanely stupid way for the game to be called. The refs being able to retroactively call the foul is a million times better than the ball being called out off Lively because JJJ was grabbing his arm. The Mavs benefitted from the old rule last season and everyone lost their minds about it which is why they changed the rule. Now the Mavs benefitted from the adjusted rule and people are still upset. Figures.
Better late than never. Glad you were able to adjust your assessment of Dallas this early in the season. Mavs fans have been trying to tell people that this team is even better than the one that went to the finals last season and noone wanted to listen.
MAILBAG:
Hi Jason, the Pistons have largely regained respectability this season and the Cade/Ivey pairing has been a huge positive given the initial questions about their fit. However, the 2 common themes behind them losing games is inconsistent front-court scoring & a lack of ball handing/initiation outside of Cade. Getting a backup PG like Elfrid Payton should address the latter issue, but I do feel in order to take the next step Detroit needs to find a #1 scoring wing as I think Cade is best served as a overqualified 2nd scoring option. Ausar and Ron Holland don't project to fit that mould & I understand Trajan's view that this year very much is an evaluation of the current roster, but if you were the GM, would you consider trying to acquire an established vet like a Randle/Ingram in a trade/FA to accelerate this process or wait & get this player via the draft?- (Understanding a scoring forward is arguably the most coveted player archetype at the moment)
Who is gonna tell Jason about Aaron Gordon's 3 point shooting?
What’s happening to your lakers Jason? I’ll be interested to hear your take after that tire fire of a game
Huh, where all the complaining Warrior's fans go? We still here right? Right?! 😂 Love your content Timpf, Warriors have glaring problems
Luka better win mvp if Mavs are the 1 seed after being robbed last season 34 9 10
Mailbag: tldr; Are the Nuggets worse after signing Murray? Yes, he hits big/tough shots, but his D isn't great, his consistency isn't great, and he's far from the guy that's hitting 30 a game anymore and hasn't been since 'bubble Murray'. Plus he shows up out of shape every. f'n. year. As a Nuggets fan I hope he gets better, but I'm also thinking his contract is a problem for the rest of the Jokic prime.
Of course youre not gonna talk about the thunder they didnt lose
Grimes has also been huge for the Mavs.
