In the previous game against OKC, we had 14 more FTs than the Thunder in a 3pt win. Was that bad Refereeing? Can't have it both ways. How about 15 "straight" made shots? If we play physical, we can't cry when other teams reciprocate.
How about if the Rockets had use zones or pack the paint in the 2nd half. Officiating was really bad for the Rockets though.
Back up big is needed urgently,one that can provide lob threats & protect the rim. I now see the reason Memphis allowed Adam leave.

The rotation is the problem. There's no denying that the refs were terrible; I was reading the line before the game Kings had the negative moneyline even though they lost so many games in a row, I know at that point the refs were going to do something. Let's put the refs aside, Ime shifted Sengun to play more times with the bench units, which was a mistake. Once Sengun left in the midst of the 2nd quarter, Jabari was the center and Kings made a huge run and never looked back. I kept my premises year after year – Jalen and Sengun are not compatible players. We want Sengun to play dominant, but Sengun always took a step back when Green was on the floor. Green was not driving that much when Sengun was on the floor. They are hurting each other. Now they both signed a larger contract, everything becomes more complicated.
I been saying for a couple weeks now we need a consistent 3 point shooting specialist and a defensive mobile rim running big.
Until we get that, we are limited and literally it will be hard for us to even to basic basketball when we play good teams and we go cold.

I also hate blaming the refs, but how many times this year have the Rockets been on the losing end of what seems like an obvious call due to some obscure, subjective interpretation of the rules. The Rockets can't shoot, but we hit the offensive boards and have multiple guys that can get to the basket almost at will. That's why we get to the line. If teams are allowed to hit and push us off drives without a whistle, it makes us completely ineffectual. These refs are people. They make mistakes. They have favorites. They give calls to stars and we have a young team with no all-stars. It is what it is. This team is offensively flawed, but I love the way they fight. You're 1000% right, they need a better backup big. And I'll add one more thing. If Jalen Green had a 2000s era 15-16ft bankshot, he'd add 6 points to his average and we'd be a real contender.
Remember when the Knicks played the Rockets and The Knicks big men got fouls for breathing too hard on the Rockets. Live by the refs, die by the refs IG

Thats a great analysis of the cureent state of Rockets. Totally agree that we should have a more pre-planned offense i.e Sengun-FVV pnr, dillon perimeter 3s, jabari corner shots, green out of screen 3s and rim attacks. I dont want to see a sengun – bari or green pnr or Jalen/jabari iso or FVV perimeter contested 3s. We gotta have set poeces where the team mixes and matches based on the line-up against

The officials need to get called out regardless. Nevertheless I see your point on executing a balance of toughness and zen through coaches (Tari should have never gone into stands.)
Also, as good as Dillon has been, I don’t think the league at large will do him any favors (refs def will not).
The real question to ponder is what this team will look like a year from now….
My young brother let me, let you in on something. I've been a fan since the late 70s up until now, and will be for life, but one thing you all have to realize is this. The league doesn't like Houston, they have been cheating the Rockets since the Finals in Boston in the 80s. If you go back to finals when they won, Sports Illustrated only made regional copies of the championship edition for Rockets, if NY had won it would have nationally. Being a Rockets fans takes having a tough resolve, because you have to prepare for the cheat because you know it's coming.🤣🤣🤣🤣 Joey Crawford was a menace except when it came to MJ, he cheated the Blazers when Clyde was there, so just know it's nothing new. But then they figure out how the play around the refs, they'll be great. Glad to see they have Olajuwon and Drexler there to prepare them, because they know this too. 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀 All day….💪

It hurts to lose against a team with 12 losses but this was just not our day. They hit all their shots 9 minutes in a row. And still Ime has to get a lot better in offensive schemes.
we have a 86 bears defensive philosophy and the kings/ warriors have a current Miami dolphins offensive philosophy. It’s not a matchup in our favor.
