It will be interesting tonight to see how the Cavs handle Denver’s big man
Strus Levert Wade + Okoro .. boost our defense so much. DG & Merrill gotta fight hard to be good on that side every night. Luke Travers defense seems near elite out the box, and just a great IQ & offensive ability. As a body and overall player, we gotta get him on the playoff roster. Definitely are best counter for OG/Jalen Johnson, good defender for Tatum/Brown for 7 games. Unless Levert & Wade stay healthy. Strus too. Or get LT ahead of schedule. Should’ve played him 30+ minutes @ BOS/ATL L’s .. and splitting and mixing in the core vs the bigger teams seems like a good idea. Ty & Spida / DG & Okoro are two starting level backcourt rotations I’d look at for BOS/ATL/OKC for a bulk of the game/series . Ideally having the full core at the end getting everything they want. I really think Travers once acclimated makes the game easier for the core and everyone else. If he gets near 50/40/90 at whatever volume with all his intangibles in his career here. we’re unstoppable, a quadruple nickel candidate, plus minus golden child. The transition offense from defense boost, grab and go guy, great passing, kinda a smaller Mobley quiet game changer element with good two way play. I think transition 3’s would be a good focal point off defense, pass out to DG/Don/Ty/Merrill/Okoro! having LT & EV crash for offensive boards and Allen holding back ready to protect the rim. Idea don’t make Allen have to cross half court for fun possessions streak. Luke be that dominate alongside the core in time and empower how they dominate … I’m hoping Kenny gets the memo and others in the fan base can spot the obvious fit and potential from a phenomenal floor. This is the dynasty making move. Maybe Kenny is cultivating behind the scenes a bit, or there’s trade interest in him and he’s on ice.
