THE INDIANA PACERS HAVE A LOT OF MAJOR PROBLEMS…

So the Indiana Pacers lost to the Detroit Pistons last night 106-130 and the story of the night was once again defense. Not only are the Pacers bad at defense but they’re also not what they were last season on offense which means the Pacers have likely plateaued and will need to make some changes to get this team back to looking like a serious playoff threat.

  1. passion energy when we win were playing hard. when we lose it looks like they don't even want to be out there. the passion needs to be revived.

  2. Rick is telling them to play d but he don’t know how to reach his players he don’t know how to motivate them we need a different coach asap

  3. I think we will be fine but we need a solid backup big thats what is gonna kill us this year once we get healthy our team will be better

  4. Pacers definitely need to make a win now move. I agree Jarace's timeline doesn't fit. I was surprised at the desire to keep him over the 26' first in the Pascal trade.

  5. To many injuries to start.. bench is bad now because of it. Need a legit 2 to play next to Hali. No rebounding or defense.. a mess but long season

  6. They could have went after Hartenstein, Caruso and Naji Marshall. Waited to this off-season to made any moves. Now were cap strapped an no one to trade but a role player or young guy's next year.. They fkd up jumping the gun on what was a developing team. Hardly gotten started on a solid offense before they gutted it. Pascal is fine, but they will need time to rebuild themselves around him. Or develop with him and that doesn't make sense. The reason I was upset at the trade was mainly due to contract and play style. Once you maka that move, instead of looking to add a few pieces and draft.. It has to work, or you're screwed.. Idk, this was a tough loss no lie.. You can't help but see the extremely low energy. I do think had we had guy's back from injury we'd been much better.. Still, hasn't changed thing's before. Had they drafted guy's, we would have most likely taken Dunn, or a Missi. Because of our needs. They trade Myles and there goes the stretch Pascal wanted to work with. Idk why, because he'd have to be dominant down low for that to made sense. He's been efficient this year, but he's never been a guy to ever give you over 20 points. 90% of the time. Nets want a 1st for Finney-Smith and he's declined a bit. They turnt down two 1sts for him last season smh.. Like Bulls with Caruso. There isn't much out there, guess it's wait and see now. The only player's to trade won't garner that much. Toppin hasn't been as good because he's not playing the minutes and Pace. Never a defensive minded player, but was getting better. Until this season, but I never really liked the idea of him playing all his time in the second untit last year. I saw his decline coming. McConnell isn't going to push that hard in the backcourt often. It's hard to get a rythem for player's like that now. Their whole offensive scheme changed. They should have made the small moves first. Done the draft and maintained assets for a trade. They're stretching Pascal on Offense now and he's actually hitting the 3's though. So if he can keep that up. At least it gives you the ability to look at all C types more. It's gonna be tough from here.. Maybe we just need to breathe and see what shakes lose by deadline. Idk, but they all need to figure it out together as a collective. The fun life of a small market team taking swings..

  7. Small market teams are screwed. New CBA in these markets are tentative to go all in. Could be worse removing the corner 3's

  8. Also bro you and I both know damn well how bad it would have to be for Rick to get shipped, even though I think that is what this team needs.

  9. Lloyd Pierce or Mark Jackson would be my choice for the head coach. I wish we could steal Queta from the Celtics for a true big that rebounds and plays defense. He sets good screens for pick and rolls and we need a big like that for this team. Cam Johnson or Kuzma maybe a Keldon Johnson would be good options. Bring back Frank Vogel in the coaching staff for defense or bring back Burke for assistant coaches

  10. The fact that Pacers' defense is still abhorrent after Carlisle took over in 2021 and still randomly collapses, no matter who's on the floor, tells you all you need to know about the essence of their issues.
Players change, assistants change, records change, offense changes. Everything changes except for two things – the head coach and the embarrassing defense.

  11. Mark Jackson, George Hill, and Lloyd Price must be The next Pacers Coach one of Them 3

  12. 2 trades whats your opinion? Turner, Nembhard to Brooklyn for Nick Claxton, Dorian Finney Smith. Walker, Toppin, James Johnson for salary to Houston for Dillon Brooks. ?

  13. The defense won't change unless we get a physical center or 2 of them. Every team has a banger down low unlike the pacers having myles hug the 3pt line

  14. come on out of your parents basement and get a clue….not many teams can endure this many injuries and sustain continuity……The total bright sided is Quentin and Brown showing, out in their brief exposure…..I know ya gotta talk but after watching the NBA for over 30yrs, just know that a teams true position in a conference is not sure until after the all star break…..get off Myles…..were you even born when myles came into the league? I've seen more growth in him than any other Pacers…..BTW Do you Kiss your Mom with that mouth smh

  15. i feel like they are telling Myles to not foul because he’s timid on defense. looks intentional

  16. Pacers should've shipped Turner instead of Sabonis,Turner has been a huge disappointment. All I have heard is he gets 2to 3 blocks a game the last few yeàrs and that doesn't matter because a game is 48 minutes. This team changed big time without Hield and B.Brown when it comes to Haliburtons game.Defense is why they brought Brown in for and getting rid of him they took a hit.
