  1. Lakers have been disfunctioning since 2013. Its a mess. And Pelinka should be fired

  2. They arent getting the LA discount anymore. I guess salaries are so inflated that its too big of a difference to make up

  3. Celtics win a championship and nobody wants to be a Laker. Bill couldn’t be anymore in heaven.

  4. Why would anybody of note want to willingly go to a team where if there is success one particular player gets a majority of the praise and adoration, and if the team struggles they would get all the blame and ridicule? And this isn’t even a false rhetoric…this has been proven over and over, year by year.

  5. The funny thing is Philly is pretty much the same. They've been trying to build a team around Embiid for almost a decade and all they've had is at best second round exits. Yet Embiid continues to be the medias love child who never gets called out for not succeeding in the playoffs xD

  6. Guys, the days of any player "taking less" to win, is over. Warriors were the last dynasty to do it but never again, as evidenced, ironically, by Klay Thompson.

They all want their 4-5 year $200+mill contracts and thats it.

  7. Love seeing this clown franchise exposed when ALL of their success is from pantheon players demanding to be traded to LA/joining as free agents (Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Lebron).

  8. I get it. Lebrons like 48 and the future of the team is pretty cloudy. If bron leaves, whats next? They dont have a ton of picks, they basically only have AD after. its not the sexiest place to go if you want some stability as a player.

  9. Who wanted to be lakers before? Kareem in the late 70s, Shaq in the late 90s and then Lebron recently. It’s not like they’ve been every year someone wants to play there. Once every generation or two a big name comes and that’s it. Once Lebron retires they’ll be butt for 10 years until another star goes there. I never understood the narrative of ā€œeveryone wants to play for the lakersā€. It’s just not true and never has been

  10. Van really brought it on this podcast. When he’s cooking, he’s right up there with Sal and Russillo as frequent guests.

  11. Bills right, it’s not a good team, and every time Lebron loses everyone gets traded and the coach gets fired.
Why would you wanna join that? This isn’t 2015, he’s 40. It’s not likely that Bron can lead a team to a ring anymore, we always wait for AD to become ā€œthe guyā€ and it’s never happened. So what’re you joining?

  12. I don’t think I’d wanna play with lebron bc of the politics and that he basically determines everything, Miami or Cleveland lebron sure once he’s gone sure who wouldn’t wanna play for LA

  13. LeBron haters, it's important to remember. This isn't just a Laker thing, nobody wanted to play with Kobe toward the end of his career either.
