  1. Just play and win and who plays isn't mater. Main goal is to not be defeated, and who is the best its not matter. Best regards from a guy who loves basketball from Bosnia.

  2. I've been saying it since the trades were announced in the offseason, Klay needs to split minutes with Naji and Naji should start.
Naji is better in most ways but most importantly defense.
The Mavs dont need Klay in their starting lineup, Kyrie and Luka are more than enough firepower.
If Klay gets out of his shooting slump ofc he'll be better on offense than Naji/Grimes but they're both better defenders.

  3. When I say we can win without Klay, I don't mean it in a bad way. More along the lines of how deep this team is. And if you really watch mavs, you'll see kidd runs little to no plays for klay lol.. he needs to run consistent plays for this guy and let him chuck up shots. I wanna see 37 points in a quarter klay!!

  4. Klay thinks he was just brought in here to sit on the 3pt line to shoot 3s. But if he gets to moving around more like also shooting inside the arc, then he will be dangerous. Notice how grimes and marshall figured it out also.

  5. i'd say trade klay, kleber, and hardy. those are the weakest links of the squad and we need another defensive rebounding player, doesn't have to be a shooter just athletic have DJJ

  6. Look at Klay on/off number with Luka & Kyrie, only Luka and only Kyrie. He is the best with only one of them on the floor which is probably connected to defense. But Klay is also a positive player even if his shot doesn't fall because of his gravity. No matter how bad he shoots he still won't be left open and his gravity has positive impact on the rest of players even if Klay himself cannot hit a shot. He's been good in Dallas so far.

  7. Klay is coming. They will need him at some point and he will come through. He's got to get out of his head. He is still the second greatest shooter of all time and you don't forget how to shoot.

  8. Yeah, the Mavs are much deeper this season. They are interchangeable at the 1,2,3 & 5 positions. Their ability to spread the floor due to the 3 point threat allows for dribble penetration and defenders cannot crash down because of the kick-out. Their only weakness comes at the 4 spot.

  9. Klay as a 6th man off the bench to just score would be a good move for both him and the team. Milage and injuries make a non starter but a valuable piece when the starters aren't knocking down shots. Then they have Likely to bring energy off the defensive end. Grimes and Marshall are just the cherry on top

  10. Nobody cares about the In Season Cup, that was invented for one reason, to pretend Lebron is still relevant. We are playing for the Title. Luka is only 25 and Lively only 20, this team will keep getting better for years.

  11. Klay provides the mavs a double team magnet, stated by Kidd to spread the floor and make one of his teammate open. Imagine Klay is being doubled in the 3 point line, expect one of of his team ope who can shoot 3's (Kai, Spencer, Maxi, Luka, PJ, Grimes, Pick your poison.

  12. Klay is precisely where he wanted to be. He needed to find that fire again, but to do that he must compete and rise. He has his cauldron, now it's time to cook.

  13. Kidd needs to replace Klay with Neji in the starting line up in hopes to light a fire under his ass and get his head back in the game

  14. Those clutch 3s were everything Mavs fans have been hoping for. First one came from PJ crashing the board, followed by fast and selfless transition game by Kai; second one came from Kai collapsing the defense, then quick ball movement and extra pass to the open man; third one stemmed from Luka collapsing D, surgical pass to 3-Jail and Ja scared of leaving Spence alone in the corner pocket. That's textbook execution to generate the cleanest looks you can possibly have.

  15. As for Klay, I don't see any specific issue. Turns out the Mavs are finally in a position to thrive even when this or that player is absent or ice-cold. (Naji was out and it's not as if Kyrie played well against the Grizzlies.)

Thing is they have so much depth now that everything has to go bizarrely wrong so that EVERYBODY will play badly. Statistically speaking, every night the odds are in favor of at least 2-3 guys between Luka, Kyrie, Klay, PJ, Gaff, D-Live, Naji, Grimes and Spencer going off, plus an occasional spurt by Hardy, who's raw and inconsistent but can get hot from 3 and also attack the rim. Not to mention Exum — who shot 50% from 3 last season and won the Mavs at least 2 games in the clutch — is yet to debut. If none of them show up, you live with that, cause it's bound to almost never happen.

Thus, they will not need Klay to be good and maybe not even to be consistent. If he rises to the ocasion when they need him, it should be enough.

  16. Klay can just play his game and should not worry about the stats. He will be valuable in the playoffs.

  17. Klay, even in his shooting slump, is getting guys more open shots and good playmaking. I think he makes this team better

  18. Klay is a perimeter threat as he always was.You cant afford to give him an open shots or youre doomed. He is a 4x champ for a reason. He is silently slicing the defense by just running around making luka and ky a bit easier to create shots.I trust him in playoffs.
