What stood out to you?
Same thing that has stood out all year deuce 3 point shooting 👎
3 point. How come the shooting has gone south for the team as a group. IDK enough to say anything except they need to get longer and stop drafting guards
Great job Duce
They’ll never do it but moving Derozen to the 6th man fixes bench production and improves offense with the starting five cuz the ball won’t stick 🤷🏽♂️
There is no but after 8 for 35
I see many bad decisions made by DDR …
11 11 from kegan in 40 minutes is not enough
What stood out, was exactly what you pointed out. Missed some good shots but also lack of ball movement at times and I understand DDR was one of the only guys all game shooting well but missing Monk (late the one) twice and Fox open for 3 was ridiculous and had me throwing wet naps at the tele xD
Footage you showed will be great for their film overview and I am sure it improves drastically tomorrow but with our record it's just too little too late. Rockets game should've been our new beginning sorta what Mo was saying, let's start from here. Shame, Kings 100% had that game and pretty much handed it away. Not saying too late to come back this season just upsetting we are still talking about basic execution by the players. And while Keon definitely should be playing way more aside from that and maybe a brief questionable lineup I won't overreact and blame coach like some fans. He aint out there bricking shots and missing defensive assignments, Kings play well when they EXECUTE
Put demar on second unit
Never liked demar
Mike brown playing huerter for 25 minutes and keon for 2, he’s not going to have a job for much longer with these lineups
Asking DEMAR to swing to people who keep missing open 3s is something else. Fox had over 20 shots trying to find his shot. And stop bandaging the inexplicable 3 point shooting from the shooters.
Excellent analysis Deuce! What you covered illustrates perfectly the vicious circle of events that plague the Kings, and its a bit more complex that just "the Kings 3pt shooting sucks this year". Hesitant decision making in this read/react/option-filled offense leads to stagnant offensive flow/movement/pace, allows the defense to get set, leading to tougher shots. I think this very frustrating self defeating cycle is a large part of why the Kings are so inconsistent within games – unable to sustain leads and inconsistent game to game (win one – lose one, lose multiple – win one). I just hope the organization has matured enough to not have a significant kneejerk reaction like firing Mike Brown or Monte at this point – I think this would be a sure path to making this situation even worse potentially for years to come. This team absolutely has talent on the roster, especially in the core players. Look to improve the bench without making major changes to the core players if possible. Maybe consider simplifying the read/react/option-filled offense a bit – maybe too many options that are dependent on a quick read/react is actually leading to the indecision/hesitation? I really hope the organization holds off on any kneejerk reaction but I fear (perhaps as an irrational sick diehard Kings fan), that a loss at the Spurs tonite could potentially set the stage for a bad organizational decision.
I think Brown's 3 and D (Celtic style) is what Brown wants, and he doesn't have the personnel at this point
Too much one on one ball when shots weren’t going down.
Ball movement was rough this game. It's when we are at our best that the ball moves nicely so I hope some adjustments are made
DEMAR derozan was the worse move this team has made they back tracked
DEMAR DEROZAN 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’d say at the very least, set a play to get Demar a little deep in the post. Then have some off ball movement. When he’s in the post, everyone is literally standing still.
Since the trade, I had a bad feeling derozan wouldn’t work with this team. The only way to fix this year is to trade derozan and even Kevin. Try to get some good players for them both. Derozan has a high trade value. I feel this team would of been better off keeping Barnes, mitchell and Duarte. Then add Knecht and a few other pieces.
I wonder if the team is better off with a 3P shooter like Cam Johnson in place of DeRozan. I like DeRozan but it seems like the rest of his teammates check out when he isolates, and the ball loses energy. DeMar should be the 2nd or 3rd option with Sabonis and Fox being the interchangeable 1-2.
