That is often a trope for other teams. So why not this one? Add to that new players and you have the recipe for a middling team through 20 games.
I keep waiting for the crappy version of the Wolves to return, but 3 wins in a row, and 2 of them being defensive master classes has me thinking we might actually be back. Now we need to go on a good run and make up ground in the division.
AD gets a cool block and doesn’t make his teammates any better with the 26th ranked defense and wonders why he doesn’t win DPOY. Rudy directing the entire defense while he’s on the floor is a skill that raises all the defenses of the teams he’s on. Only part of why he’s so special
It's helping a lot when the rest of the players are rotating on defense… establishing that trust factor that if Rudy needs to stop something, someone else will fill the gap. Naz and stepped up, NAW always on point, and also why when Jaden is engaged defensively they are one solid unit.
Two LA teams playing the Wolves on back to backs. Both LA teams looked very tired. Meaningless in season basketball. Nice the Wolves won. Thank the scheduler more than anyone else. Hopefully the Wolves can use the positive feelings to play together with better focus going forward.
