The Rebuilding Raptors Have Something Brewing
With their lone All-Star sidelined and a brutal schedule in front of them, we assumed the shorthanded Raptors were in for a world of pain. That Toronto’s first quarter-season would be ugly and forgettable.
In the end, the rebuilding Raptors proved us wrong while still managing to lose 15 of their first 20 games, outperforming expectations everywhere but the win column.
You might call it the perfect tank.

At best Raptors hope to get into the top 10 of the worst teams before the lottery and hope that the ball will bounce their way like it did Atlanta last year.
The Raptors need polish, but they're bursting with talent. I don't think they need to "capture the Flagg." They have a lot of good, young players, an obviously great program, and a FANTASTIC scouting and drafting arm. They'll be fine with or without Cooper 🙏

The Raptors will have to eventually fix their spacing problem especially once they become competitive. Scottie, Barett and Poetl are three non-shooters. Barnes is safe there because he's their franchise player. Quickley and Gradey on the other hand are a luxury to have on the team.
