  1. The Whitmore issue 🤯 He stops the ball. C'mon, so does Brooks. you need that man scoring. He’s the only other scorer on the team. Also, his defense isn’t worse than anybody else on the team either. (Besides Tari and Amen) I would say he’s better than Jalen, Reid and Fred defensively, who get bullied around the floor all game. I don't like the new system either. They NEED to play through Segun.

  2. They got Jabari looking like a mannequin on offense. Im honestly getting annoyed with his low usage. When he gets his post ups or coming off screens he's effective.

  3. When teams pack the paint and dare us to shoot we have usually falters. For me it’s bcos Jabari have hugely regressed especially when he was expected to take another leap in terms of 3 points shooting and added to that is that Fred declining. Cam is lacking in confidence, and the best way to solve that problem is not by removing from rotation and sending him to G-league. The coach can psychologically solved it by starting cam whitmore ahead of jabari in one game and challenge him to go in there and kill, to shoot the hell out of basketball. That trust alone can turn the season around for cam. If you look at okc their coach have rotated the shooting guard starting position , sometimes Caruso starts, sometimes Isaiah joe, somtemines, Casey Wallace, sometimes Wiggins starts. So building trust in these players is helping okc. Udoka should copy this and not get stuck with Jabari as a starter all the time

  4. As a fan from Türkiye, i watch Houston games at night because of time difference and go work sleepless and when Alpy doesnt play smart enough i get frustrated…at first game against Wemby and in this game refs started game with easy cheap fouls on Alpy to protect Wemby and Holmgren, they are frenchiese players for NBA and u cant change this ,even if you are right about foul calls nothing will change…just focus your game do not try to def them more than others in team (only 1 foul called S.Adams for example..)and focus on your offence ,use your energy on offence because when u get near them u will be in foul trouble and things will only be worse…Be smart like Jokic and outscore Wemby and Holmgren type players in offence, this game was not about abilities or shots of Alpy it was about focusing the wrong side of the game ,focus should be offence not defence …by the way S. Adams had no foul till 4th qtr and has only 1 foul…u are bacup center use your fouls if you act like though guy which you are not…

  5. Frank, teams arent doubling Sengun because he is dominant/shaq or giannis in the paint, they are doubling him becuase they know our offense is predictable and we dont have shooters. Sengun is shooting 43 percent from the field, and 90 percent of his attempts come from around the rim. Stop trying to make it seem like Sengun just so dominant, teams have to double him and thats not the case, again, he is shooting 43 percent from around the rim as a center, not as a guard but as a CENTER.

  6. My take… bad defense, the gave too many opened 3s and the difference is that OkC can shoot the ball.

Horrific offense…Thompson might be the best athlete in the world, but this is basketball. Luka is the best example of zero athleticism. This is not football, and I can’t believe a person that can’t shoot is in the league.

Reed is either being bad coached, or he is not being aggressive enough. The good is that I can see the great player he is and can be. Sort of like when we saw Sengun first time.

No reason for Thompson to bring the ball and send Reed to the corner to never touch the ball.

    Very disappointing on Ime Udoka.

  7. Reminds me of the grizzlies three years ago. we need shooters. Reid needs to start letting it fly. Need three shooters. the defense is sloppy. No defense.

  8. Thank you Frank. After the Q1, I was expecting a close game up to the but then, our epidemic started. I see that the lack of an organized offense is affecting us as much as the lack of shot making from our players.

We swap OKC players with Rockets players and the Rockets offense in going to automatically improve.

  9. Not having Cam Whitmore is what happened… this was the same thing that was happening against San Antonio the first time we played them until Cam led that comeback

  10. Stephen Adams a cone… whatever. Bunch of young players running round like headless chooks. No defense, Shenguns too small he’s he’s 4 , not sure what’s happened to Green.

  11. Mike D'Antoni did not run a set offense. He ran heavy pick and rolls and 3 point shots. It's not so much Ime's offensive strategy is a failure as it is the Rocket's lack of outside shooting. I do not like a lot of Ime's lineups. Adams is washed. Ime needs to go to Jabari and Jock if he wants perimeter defense from the center positions to get away from obsolete drop coverage. Jock needs to bulk up a bit. He has a good 3 point shot. Alperen may or may not be a perimeter defender someday. Right now he is a drop coverage center and he is good at times, sometimes not. Stone drafted the best players she could get but the Rockets need to trade for what they lack and not invest on waiting for the young guns to develop. If he wants to win now anyway. Get some damn shooters or miss the playoffs again. Stone needs to adjust his strategy.

  12. Oh yea, we were out coached. Beyond that, we need to get to the foul line. That is a skill that can be coached – there is no reason we aren't better at it. If the three isn't hitting you have to start drawing fouls to compensate. I can't believe Udoka doesn't see that we need a change in the offense. Is it that hard to implement a movement offense with this young core? Are they that slow at picking things up? Does Udoka think his current offense can beat a team like OKC? I don't know if its Udoka being stubborn or that our guys are just dense. Like you, I would have gone to Alpy every play and just run that to death. I don't call it "trust" – I call it not being a very smart basketball player. The defense is good but Udoka and the players are to blame for the offensive problems. Maybe we do need to trade some of the young guys for more vets??? I don't know – I just thought they would be further along int their development by now.

  13. Shai is on another level. Literally un-guardable and the rest of the Thunder know their roles very well, thanks to their 2 extra years of experience over our extremely young Rocket team.

We just aren't ready to be at their level. The silver lining is that we are basically an OKC from 2 years ago. Our guys are going to have to get at least another year of playing to really gel and understand their roles in the hierarchy of things.

  14. i believe it's time or phase internal in the team to make bari and tari shine to secure their bags! go listen to fred and draymonds podcast..
but thats how they will bound, and its up to ime udoka to manage all this!

frank pls go look how this young boy ''braun''? from the nuggets, did his recent interview what he talks about.. 8-10 minutes how detailed he speaks about their system
compare that to our interviews.. Ime's included!
than u have spoelstra most recent: yall get paid in this league but u dont get wins!!!

to paint the picture zoom out.

  15. I agree with everyone else who is saying we need an offensive coordinator or he needs to add something to our system. The defense is really physically taxing so they need an offensive strategy with a lot of smart passing which saves energy

  16. I don't think Adams is working on court. Sit him, keep him as a mentor and a walking trade exception for the deadline. Having Jock provide some semblance of spacing at the 5 on the second unit might give us a different look. Agree Frank about needing some kind of go to play that builds off of opponents double of Alpe. We're still young and we hung with one of the A+ teams for three quarters, chin up

  17. Good observation on adjusting to elite coaching. Looks like there's a trend here. Wish we could incorporate some Adleman and Dantoni motion offense with movement. It was cirtial on turning James into a superstar he is now. But we need Ime's toughness for this young core to develop. #phase2 Go Rockets! 🤘💪

  18. We had a tremendous jump on defense last year, Ime gets full credit for it. now it gets harder to make difference with improving defense alone. Better offense is the way for us take the next step.

I’m happy with first quarter offense, felt more organized. Also it looks like we are trying stuff here and there. It might be at a slow pace especially with the young guys. So, I’d give them time

  19. Need Slam Cam as starter SG. Coach dumb to sit him down and play him on 10 mins. 30 mins so we can develop him.

  20. ALF playing as a center is not long term. He's not big enough to play that style. He's a PF at best. They either need to start Adams or trade him. He does the work the Alfy doesn't who screens as an after thought.

  21. frank, idk nun about anything but you sounding and looking tired i hope you doing well and take breaks if you ever feel the need to… love the content as always

  22. I strongly agree with Frank about the effectiveness of good Offensive Systems !! (Jordan & Kobe won Playoff Series ONLY when running the Triangle Offense). Since Ime's Offense is "simple," we're gonna need Elite Level Offensive Players to legitimately make a Playoff Run: (1) I'm hoping Reed Sheppard can play better by at least the All Star Break, (2) I'm still HOPING for the demise of the Phoenix Suns cuz of the 2025 NBA Draft (Ace Bailey or Cooper Flagg). KD is probably the MVP Frontrunner – right now – but the minutes he's playing @ 36 yrs old is Not tenable. Consequently, KD is INJURED right now, (3) Cam Whitmore is a good as Gone from this team. Jabari Smith Jr HAS REGRESSED. Packaging Cam & Jabari in a Trade might get us some valuable Draft Capital.

  23. They should've traded jalen green and little van fleet and moved forward with cam whitmore and shegun.
