  1. Now that it seems less likely for him to win MVP, I feel like this might be the year he actually wins it.

  2. Right now Jokic should be the MVP favorite and if the Nuggets end the season at least 6th seed and 45+ wins then it's not even a question. But if Luka elevates his game even more over the course of the season and Mavs ends top 2 seed with 50+ wins then yes Luka should win. It's just so hard arguing Jokic isn't deserving of a 4th MVP right now given the work he's putting plus the narrative of his team being so bad without him.

  3. All love to Jokic, but if he gets MVP despite poor seeding and Luka got shafted last year? MVP will lose all credibility. The moving goal post stuff every year is crap. We better win that chip this year and have Luka be the FMVP

  4. Kyrie is the one who led this the whole way this season. Both in efficiency and leadership cuz luka was out for 5 or 6 straight games. and the Mavs only has one loss during his absence, against the heat in OT. Several players got career games during Kyrie’s leadership but Dallas fans only care about Luka, he can’t be in MVP talks against Jokic, not been in his own team cuz Kyrie is Leading right now

  5. I'm convinced Luka will never win an MVP. He's got Joker in the way the next couple of years and then Wemby will tie up the accolade until Luka retires.

  6. Isaac, I love your input on the show, but you are completely wrong about how the media covers Luka vs Jokic. There is a blatant double standard that the majority of Mavs fans are tired of. When Jokic puts up huge stats while carrying a bad roster its legendary and shows what a competitor and winner he is. The entire time Luka was doing it the media called him a statpadder and said how his playstyle could never win. Luka scored 73 in a close win for god sake and the main media coverage of it was trashing the Hawks defense. Jokic has a big game in a loss against a Wizards team that is potentially one of the worst teams of all time and all of the media coverage was about how unbelievable Jokic is and how Denver needs to get him more help. And dont even get me started on the "Whining to the refs" BS. Jokic complains constantly and everyone just ignores it. That isn't the media "nitpicking between 2 great players." It's blatant bias and hypocrisy. I wish what you said about "Not needing to diminish Jokic's greatness" was true, but it just isnt. All the media does is diminish Luka to prop up Jokic and we are tired of it. If the media and Jokic fans are going to be dishonest and disingenuous about Luka then I'm going to give them the exact same treatment back.

  7. I just find it hard to take MVP seriously when among the voters for it are Stephen A Smith and a guy who thought Sabobis was the DPOY. If he wins one cool, if not who cares. If 34 10 and 9 isn't good enough because they were a "lowly" 5th seed and carrying an injured team isn't a good enough narrative then fuck it. He hasn't played like an MVP until recently and what's wild is the talking points from PEOPLE WITH VOTES are no different. His 73 point game was discussed similarly to an inefficient 29 point game.

  8. The goalpost for Luka winning MVP is craziest shit I've ever seen. He should have easily won it last year with one of the greatest individual seasons of all time. So now that Luka is tied for the 3 seed, its still not good enough. Jokic meantime won it as a 6th seed and is the 7th seed currently while people are talking about him winning it again. Its horseshit, they are going to do to Luka what they did to Kobe and Shaq, 1 MVP each.

  9. The NBA glazes Jokic, Shai, and Giannis so much I’m not sure there’s anything Luka can do that would win an MVP to be honest

  10. I don´t care who will be regular season MVP. I just want to see best version of Luka, Ky and other Mavs role players in playoffs and of course a championship title. I don´t want him to be like Embiid (MVP and then 1st or 2nd round exit in playoffs).

  11. If luka is number 8 in mvo shoukdnt kyrie be in the top 7 then last i checked kyrie been havin anbetter year than luka yea luka had a good 5 games kyrie has been great every game outside of 2 and the mavs wer 5-1 with him being number 1
