Definite Spurs fan but Wemby going scoreless in any half no free throws is CRAZY! He's young 3's are important but just settling for them would be doing himself a major disservice without adding a consistent post position game.
This is the cons of being able to do a lot of things. It's tough finding the balance on when to shoot from deep and close to the basket. Can you imagine a prospect who is just a good shotblocker who is expected to do just that and then get some rebounds and dunk, and that's it–life would be so much easier.
He was scoreless in the first half then had success scoring from inside in the 3rd quarter. Don't you think any person would realize he could score inside? But this is all by design by the coaching staff and Wemby on what they "view" as giving them the best chance of winning titles in the future.
He has doubled his 3pt attempts from last year and it doesn't take a genius to figure this one out. Fans are talking like "I'm the only one who sees what's wrong as if the coaching staff and Wemby has no clue." lol
"he will be the goat as long as he stays healthy"….. Also.. "he shoots too many 3s".. leave him alone, it's 3 on 1 every night out there. 1 bad game
He has to keep shooting… that's how he'll get better… he's a improving and they're winning games…
No Wemby is not shooting too much. When in his prime he makes 45% from three, its because he took the time to shoot now and get better. Wemby has the type of personality where if he misses one shot he will work on it super hard. Imagine how much focus he has on shooting threes and getting better. He will be a top 5 shooter from distance. Ask Lebron how many more threes he would take in 2004 if he could go back in time

Okay so they circled back to the point Michelle led with, he took too many 3 attempts and didn’t mix it up more. I agree and I absolutely adore him too. He had some favorable mismatches that he abandoned in the lane where Booker was guarding him and he backed to the three line instead of attacking the basket. He’s figuring it out and I’m sure his teammates will help with the mouse in the house scenarios in the future.

CP3 needs to stop holding onto to ball too long, he’s slowing the pace down too much.
Don’t forget, this is what the Spurs WANT him to do. It’s year two of a multi year development plan. Right now they’re prioritising his perimeter game. They will shift the emphasis to his interior game as his body and strength develops. He’s always going to be a perimeter oriented player so he has to keep developing and building confidence in this area, even on rough nights.

Long answer: 100% YES, but he does that to keep his energy for the game. because near the paint everyone try to push him far away from it. His weakness was and is still his stamina.
Yes. Maybe 4-6 attempts is fine and he can shoot more if he's hot. . Would like to see him shoot more from the midrange.
Its a problem if he's the only one missing but taking all threes. But the whole team except vassell is cold on 3s.
The Spurs needs to talk to him, to at least enter the post more and shoot when its necessary. His team mates needs to help him, relieve him of double teams, screen well and pass well to him.

Let's all be honest as Spurs fans. He's too weak. He can't hold his position in the paint even against guys shorter than him. This is why he's shooting so many 3s. Alex Caruso literally scared Wemby from being in the paint to the point he was shooting perimeter shots.
Wemby is extremely boring to watch in this already worst version of the NBA ever.
It seems like a waste to have your 7'4" player out at the 3 point line instead of in the post.
