I wasn't expecting this until the off-season. But in order to move forward, Miami just has to pull the plug and let Jimmy go. It's won't be easy but that's how it goes

It was fun while it lasted, the runs from 2020, 2022 and especially 2023 where memorable, but the Heat are no longer a factor in the championship race with Jimmy Butler as the number one option.

And btw at some point acknowledge this team doesnt soley revolve around Jimmy. We needed Tyler to wise up, he is now Portland'a biggest regret. Drew Smith had that tragic accident in Cleveland last year and eversince he has been the most pivotal defensive player on the team if not off the bench. And if you do want to move, dont cheap out.

If this team is still that championship hunting team from the GM perspective, you do not rebuild next season. You get back to the chip. And to do that, you need to move the right people. Something this glorious (and I do mean glorious) franchise president had failed to do or update the tactics of doing. Hardwork pays off but at what point do you fight water with fire?

Pure negotiation tactics. Jimmy opened up a coffee shop a few days ago in Miami. His heart is definitely in the city.

OKC is the one that intrigues me the most. They have 33 draft picks and one of those is our own that will either convey this year or next (unprotected). I also think OKC feels like they're one player away from winning a title so the incentive to make a trade is definitely there. Also, with all those draft picks, parting with "a few" won't hurt them.
I do not see any combination of players on the Rockets that can help the Heat. On the other hand a trade with the warriors helps both teams. I would give them jimmy,jovic,jrich and love $58.1M for wiggins, Melton,Kuminga,Anderson, 1 first, 1 second and 1 future first swap $55.3M. We give Jovic because he is not playing with wiggins and Kuminga here. Love is a vet favor to send him back home and stay with jimmy. Anderson we have to swallow at $10M to make the money right. Both teams get flexibility and both get to keep developmental players. The beauty of this we still can package Rozier, Robinson and 2 first for a star player.

I think the heat are just exploring right now, given the age of butler i think he still got 2-3 years of high level basketball, getting a young and promising player will really benefit the team since they are going young with bam/herro core. If those preferred teams got a good package for butler then maybe the trade will happen.

What rock have you been under the past 2 years. If you think this trade is not fair it is because you believe you are trading Jimmy FN Butler. I’m trading part time jimmy with a $54M cap hit next year and still loose him. Wake up. If we do not trade jimmy he will be the first player to opt in.
