These are NOT the Same Cleveland Cavaliers

The Oklahoma City Thunder and Cleveland Cavaliers are the last two undefeated teams in the NBA right now. The Thunder were somewhat expected, but the Cavs are making waves right now and not enough people are talking about them. Donovan Mitchell is once again dominant, Darius Garland is playing much more like his old self, Evan Mobley is having an offensive breakout, Jarrett Allen is once again playing extremely well, and Kenny Atkinson has the whole team producing at a very high level. They’ve made a case to be the second best team in the East ahead of the New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks, and Philadelphia 76ers and only behind the Boston Celtics. This could be the breakthrough year we’ve been waiting through. Let’s talk about it.

  1. Cavs are legit once they get that 3 spot sorted out. If getting a guy like Jerami Grant is possible for them, they’d definitely be up there with the Celtics and I’m a Celtic fan.

  2. Another big thing is the way Kenny is protecting them from injury. Not a single player on the team averaging over 30 mpg

  3. Darius Garland will prove the haters wrong this year. I know the numbers haven't been great, but I believe he's gonna have a huge year!

  4. Bucks fans be finna feel what Lakers fans endured in the last 2-3 seasons. LeBron and AD gonna get their stats but poor role players and of course POOR COACHING leads to this slugfest lol.

  5. I would love to see the Cavs win a championship without LeBron just to water down his whole ""Cleveland, this one's for you!!!" moment.

  6. As a Cavs fan I’m happy, but I’m taking this with a grain of salt, remember the Atlanta hawks had the number 1 record in the league, who was actually the best team? Cavs with lebron, we still got Boston to dethrone

  7. Over the last 4 to 5 years the Cavaliers have had nothing but improved season after another season. We’ve been building this young team and have been getting incrementally better every single year although I doubt we will keep this exact same momentum around the whole season. I do believe this team is 100% legitimate however.

  8. Last year the cavs took em to 6 WO Allen or garland(ik he was playing but he had a nightmare year) they were the only team to take them past 5 games this currrent team and the Knicks are the only threats to the Celtics

  9. Knicks played you with zero chemistry 1 starter from last year, They need to find their identity with nee look, Upu guys arent getting past Knicks, Boston Maybe you can beat Philly but if they are healthy I would bet Philly wins in 6

  10. PROPS for Garland…his meals thru much of the season were from a straw. Plus this team is Deeeep! I almost hate to see the role players do so well that they might be stolen.

  11. I hate the fact that no one is talking about this cavs team but they can't stop talking about okc and the only team they faced worth talking about is Denver

  12. The Cavs should be a contender. They have been close for the last few years, looks like their coach was the missing link

  13. Huge Cavs fan knew this wave was coming when Atkinson came but didn’t realized we’d be this nice lmao.

  14. Are the Cavaliers for real? Why not?

I listen to Cone looking for answers to explain it, but at the end of the day there has only been one big change. The coach. Question answered.

Can the Cavaliers compete with the Celtics? Why not?

This coach has this team believing his vision. Now, early success has instilled confidence.

Fast forward to playing the Celtics.

If you don't respect the Celtics, you're a fool. BUT, as much as I admire their talent and their coach, IMO the best player in that matchup is Donovan Mitchell.

Barring injury, the Cavaliers and the Celtics won't settle who is better until they meet in the ECF.

Don't doubt what you're seeing Cone. I haven't looked, but I hope the first time our Thunder faces Cleveland that neither team is playing the 2nd game of a back to back.

  15. I think the Cavs match up REALLY well against the Celtics even though they what us last year. This team has found its bread and butter.

  16. The Cavs should trade everybody for KD & Kyrie and fire Kenny immediately.

Oh wait this isn't Brooklyn hahahahahah

Kenny is out on revenge tour!

  17. The Cavs have been a superb organization since LeBron and no one gives them credit. Dan Gilbert is a decent owner and the hiring of Koby Altman has been a a series of W's. He inherited a bad LeBron team and then was tasked with the job of rebuilding from the ground up. He has drafter well at every opportunity and made smart, long-term moves when available. The trades for Jarrett Allen/Levert and then Markkanen stand out to me as two excellent deals for us that helped significantly push the team forward when we didn't have much direction. Acquiring excellent young talent at below market rates to flip or play worked out and was the key to success for us. Props to Altman and its been an exciting rebuild ever since 2018 as a Cavs fan.

  18. As a Cavs fan i love this i still think Boston is obviously the best still in the East but i think a Cavs Celtics series goes 7.

  19. We'll see how the Cavs look at mid-season or playoff time, but for now, they look terrific. If they played the Celtics or the Knicks in a playoff series right now, I would not be surprised if they beat one of them.

  20. Sup Cone, been following your videos for like 3 years and I want to say I'm one of your real ones. But I haven't ever figured out what you say real ones do at the end of your video… can you clarify that for me? It's been bugging me for a while 😅

  21. I'm so happy for Kenny Atkinson man. That nets team was so much fun and had so much chemistry. And now he gets a chance to bring that energy to a contender.

  22. They fell appart becaused they were drained and/or injured…42 minutes per game is not a sustainable blueprint for success….KA is utilizing the bench masterfully, where the starters actually are semi fresh come 4th quarter and gametime minutes

  23. I'm a Knicks fan. When I saw the Cavs play the other night, I was surprised at what I saw: I saw a well coached team. They are very sound to my untrained eye and look MUCH better than they did before. Goes to show you what happens when you get better coaching. Kudos to Kenny Atkinson and Johnnie Bryant.

  24. It's been a good run guys.. but tbh once Max Strus is back its gonna screw everything up.. smh
I just hope this NBA record that Atkinson recently received isn't a fluke…

    ..sorry JB, you tried bud

  25. at this point, Lakers front office wished they could trade LeBron and JJ Redick for Coach Atkinson 😂
