The Golden State Warriors reportedly have interest in a trio of Brookyln Nets players, Jimmy Butler has reportedly said he would be interested in playing for the Warriors, + hosts Charlie Walter and Matt Kolsky have a player on their radar as well. Jimmy is great, but any trade for him would require Kuminga or Wiggins + most of the bench depth. That’s just to make it work financially, let alone whatever Miami actually wants for him.
It’s just not worth it. 4 years ago, it might have been. But not now.
Let me say this very clearly. After nearly 40 years of watching basketball (Steve Kerr was was that great kid that volunteered to answer questions to the press after every game in front of the locker room on WGN when no other player wanted to), this much is certain to me… If Andrew Wiggins leaves this team, the Luka's/ Tatum's/ Kahwi's of the world will rip the Warriors to shreds and there will be no chance of a title for the remainder of the decade. So think hard as y'all ponder trades. Wiggs goes – Let Steph go play golf now.

Somebody tell Matt that if you send out 3 or 4 players for any 1 player, your roster goes down to 12 or 11 players while the legal minimum is 14 players and the Dubs are hard capped with 500k room. 2 players for 1? Sure, you can waive Gui's 1.8 salary and add it to 500k and get 2 1st time G Leaguers at 1.1 each and that's 14, but not 3 for 1… and Jimmy Buttler isn't good or durable enough to make it worth it anyway.
To all the instant gratification Podz haters out there, I have a question, does year 2 Podz look much better than year 2 Poole or not? Because Poole made a helluva contribution to a title in 2022.

Why is nobody talking about getting Bogdon Bogdonavic from Atlanta??? Sigh, he's been languishing on the bench ever since he got in Quinn Snyders face on national TV. the man is good and he's clearly pissed and he finally gets into a ball movement semi-Euro type system… I would say similar for Nicola Vucevic as well… I honestly don't know why fans always seem to go for the high profile players all the time.

The Sporting News has an article explaining that Boston has 3 high quality and expensive PG maybe not expensive this year, but soon (Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, and Payton Pritchard). White or Holiday would be ideal replacement for Melton. Could the Warriors trade for one of them?

Lacob can't afford to buy curry anymore rings. He made that clear when he had to sell 5% of the rights to the team to buy curry his last year. He made it even clearer when he refused to resign otto and gp2 after that 2022 checkbook chip. The checkbook dynasty is over. The cba was changed to end it. The nba is better when the warriors are a perennial lottery team.
The warriors are a play-in team whether they make a trade or not. They are 7th best in the west at best. The checkbook dynasty is over.
I firmly believe they should at least consider trading Draymond. If you could get a star player. But I also agree Wiggins would be a better person to trade, I don’t believe you can count on him long-term.
