  1. Stop defending Fox. He was trash so he could have been more of a playmaker if he can’t make anything. You criticize stars because they’re paid to be consistent. Fox is the definition of inconsistency.

  2. The Kings DO NOT NEED FOX !! He simply isn't the guy anymore , he has choked many times in crucial moments. He almost never drives and get to his spots in midrange. Stop shooting threes!! Demar, Sabonis, and crew are the future of this team . We need to trade FOX!!! Fox smiles and isn't a dog mental minded player. The ball was never tipped he just airballed badly. Fox can't have any excuse! We need to ask Fox questions cause this can't happen ever! Grady Dick the rookie literally bullied Fox.

  3. We need a quality back up big…Alex Len is unplayable and the trey Lyle’s minutes at backup center was awful…teams are adjusting to that

  4. Giannis to the Warriors in exchange for some of those young talents in their crazy 12-man rotation would make the Western Conference really interesting. Who cares about young talents and infinite rotations when you get a shot at another championship. That would be fun.

  5. I just want to say a small tip from 3 would have a large change in the shot trajectory. Simple physics

  6. Where have you been the last three years Matt?
When Huerter or anybody else is missing in the starting lineup MB has always brought in somebody outside the main rotation to keep the regular rotations in place.
TD for Huerter in season #1, Jordan McG for Fox this season etc.

  7. Can't blame Fox the only reason they even had that chance was because RJ missed three game clinching free throws both in regulation and O.T. and that shot wasn't tipped the rotation of the ball never changed.

  8. I try to chill and not react until the Sacramento Kings play their first ten games of the season. Great basketball entertainment & drama.

  9. the funny thing is with the way he was shooting, it's actually believable that airball wasn't tipped

  10. No minutes for Alex Len our only Rim Protector? Not smart

Trey Lyles our only true power forward is now the backup center and plays less minutes than Keon Ellis?

The Kings don’t look or play like a team building and planning to compete with teams like OKC, T Wolves, Mavs, Griz, Pelicans, Nuggets, Lakers, etc. etc. These team all have size, and our Kings are playing small ball, at a slow pace, and taking less 3s??? Interesting

Last night, the Raptors played like the old Kings, they got into the paint for layups or splash 3s.

Kings current offense? Pass, Pass, Derozan gets ball, dribble dribble takes a tough 2? “it is hard to teach old players like Derozan new tricks. Our Kings did not need a go to guy. We need someone who can help us defend big Wings. The Kings could score 120 points last year, with ease.: If the Kings ever get in a deep hole, we now know it will be hard to get out of taking 2s. Keep in mind, the Raptors, best player was not playing. Interesting.

The lineup of Fox, Malik, Keegan, Trey and Sabonis /Alex, has not seen the court? This line up allows everyone to play their natural position, and it gives the Kings a lot of space for Fox and Malik to attack the Rim! Alex gives this line up Rim Protection. Last night RJ Barrett lived at the Rim.

Lineups, the feature, Fox, Malik, Keon, Keegan, Trey, are designed to beat what top tier teams? With Trey playing the 5, I think it safe to say, that players Ant, Shai, Luka, Zion, Lebron, Kyrie, Joker, Ja Morant, are going to attack the rim at will! SMH

It looks like the Kings are a team seeking to make the Play In Tournament and that is it. Last night we witness Sabonis and Keegan getting in big foul trouble. Keegan fouled out.

Next up is the Heat, a team that is currently starting two 6-10 guys with Jimmy Butler. One hopes that Alex and Trey get some minutes in this game.

To beat top tier teams, the line up of Fox, Malik, Keegan, Trey, Sabonis / Alex is going to have to play, and get reps together. This lineup allows the Kings to play 5 out, and it allows Fox and Malik to get in the paint, and find shooters.

Davion Mitchell played a very smart game last night. Picking up Fox hold court, he is also guarded Fox and Malik in the half court set a lot. Fox went 0 for 11 from 3, D Mitchell never let him get his top of key 3s, Fox was out sorts a lot last night. You got tip your hat to Davion. Davion also lived in the paint a lot.

  11. Man everyone's heated about this. Kings tried so hard to win that game. I can't get mad at them

  12. Fox doesn’t miss 3s that bad? He had 3 similar in this game. Don’t get on Fox for turning the ball over in crunch time? This is a guy trying to make 300+ million with a super max. His play down was horrendous. Call it like it is. However, they didn’t lose Fox, they lost because their perimeter defense was horrid.

  13. 3 point defense is terrible. Had Matthew’s on the hawks looking like curry. Got them beat in this game. Had a 20% 3 point shooter on the raptors looking like Ray Allen.

  14. Matt George is a fan that has been there since the arco arena days. And I can feel that because as a long time kings fan myself that has experienced hard times and horrible basketball players come through here. We don’t panic as long time die hard fans and throw players away when it’s convenient. We appreicate the greatness in players that has put so much dedication to the team, but can call a spade a spade. But what I love about Matt is that he can do that while still talking about the great things a player has done I get tired of these fans that love a player then will bash them like they shouldn’t be apart of the team, like they weren’t just praising Fox as a 4th qtr king the past few years

  15. I don’t understand the logic at all of Fox needing to take the shot because he’s the star.

If Milwaukee or Denver need a 3 to tie the game, are they going to Giannis or Jokic?

  16. We need to give up more twos in exchange for less threes. Threes are worth so much in this league – we need to realize that providing help defense is sometimes more detrimental than just allowing your teammate to get beat one on one to the basket. Anyone else feel this way?

  17. I COMPLETELY disagree with you Matt. I was YELLING at Fox to pass the ball to Monk on that final three! Monk was 3-3 and HOT. Monk was WIDE OPEN. Fox had a man running at him. YOU MUST SWING IT. PLUS, Fox was 0-10!!!!!!!

  18. The Kings made a big mistake by letting Jordan Ford go. He is a deadly perimeter shooter & at least a decent perimeter defender (his slim frame sometimes made him a defensive liability but honestly I think that critique was overblown).
Mike Brown refused to even give Ford minimal minutes. Consequently, a terrific mid range and distance shooter slipped thru the cracks and now Jordan Ford has been lighting it up in Europe. Why??? Because Brown detests playing more than a 7 man rotation. He likely does NOT know if he has another diamond – in -the -rough on his bench even now!!!
Monte should tell Brown we hired you to be the Coach of the ENTIRE TEAM, NOT JUST HALF THE TEAM!! Especially when those players are expected to keep up with their point guard, DeArron Fox who plays 35 minutes +++ at breakneck speed!!!!
Monte also should point out that they spend a lot of resources in developing promising players who need to be ready to answer the call should they be called up. Brown would resist that vigorously, I'm sure. But a 7 man rotation over an entire 83 game season & hopefully a post season would be basketball suicide because those 7 players on his "mini rotation" would have NOTHING LEFT IN THE TANK as the season draws to a close. The Kings cannot afford another Jordan Ford travesty!!! He could have been a true asset!!!
So, is Mike Brown wearing out his welcome??? We Kings fans have been discussing that since the end of last season. We realize he has to win games BUT HE HAS TO COACH THE ENTIRE ROSTER. AND IF HE HASN'T FIGURED THAT OUT BY NOW, THEN IT'S TIME TO SHOW HIM THE DOOR.
Lakers Head Coach JJ Reddick would have been a perfect fit. Perhaps there's another like him in the NBA, as a head coach or as an Assistant Coach? This supposed to be fun BUT going back over Brown's tenure here, I ask myself, why does he aggravate me & my friends to the verge of an ulcer, considering his penchant for turning wins in crunch time losses???

  19. The front office of Sac has been sh-t trading and only trying to acquire cheap players and not willing to go over to get into the apron. You would rather take the hit or trade some of the future picks so we can win but instead the front office seems like they’re going to move on from Fox. Why draft Devin Carter? It seems more like an insurance in case they plan to move Fox since Sac has in the past moved on from their Stars due to impatience. When we needed wings and defensive minded players the office chose offensive players instead and now we draft and it’s another guard. We are not “GSW” Kings front office we need to be KiNGs
