Marks and the Nets must resist the urge to to go star searching at all cost. With the new CBA teams will have to be more cost prudent and there are going to be backend stars like Butler who are all of sudden going to want to send out feelers to Brooklyn because Brooklyn has cap space and they want to get their last big pay day. Sorry Butler, you should forced your way to the Nets a decade ago. Same thing to a lesser degree with a player like Giannis. Great player but the dude has a ton of miles on him and still very little jump shot so how’s his game going to age? I wouldn’t be surprised that if KD becomes a free agent in another year he doesn’t try to squeeze another big contract out of the Nets.
They need to resist the short cuts and build through the draft.

Ben must be still injured and managing himself through to another contract whatever that will look like. Jumping and landing hurts when you have a bad back so it doesnt look good for his future sadly.
