You may not agree with it, but the call reversal on lively was absolutely the correct call. It was only not called in real time because players are trained to grab and hold in ref blind spots so they can get away with it. They only saw it this time because Grizzlies challenged the call, stupidly.
You can’t hook and hold a players arm when they go for a rebound. It’s a foul. Period. Only reason lively didn’t actually come down with the board entirely.

i can live with luka not getting all the calls. but don't blow the whistle on all sga contacts. the refs make the nba look fake sometimes.

Dallas just has a bunch of killers who aren’t scared of any moment. Luka and Ky are obviously fearless but so is Grimes, Naji, and Dinwiddie. I can’t believe the Mavs actually have a surplus of ball handlers 😂
Luka was hurt in the finals. He was taking cortisone shots in both knees just to be on the floor. So yeah, he'll defend better.

Don’t forget Quentin Grimes! He’s been consistently scoring 19-28 pts a game when Luka and Klay were out and he took Klay’s spot in the starting line up. He is also great at defense.
dallas got lucky in Smart's unforced errors. But they do have great ability to finish games.

Nah…..not today. Memphis gave Mavs that game, but its not Mavs fault either for Memphis being boneheaded down the stretch. Also, the NBA just released a statement regarding the miss calls against Memphis🤣. Releasing shit after the game is over is hilarious. Memphis BIGS in this game were key for them obtaining the lead in the first place. This needs to be talked about more. The out of bounds play where lively got free throws is going to be standard. The mavs had that exact thing happen to them twice this year. One on kyrie in the same fashion that cost us the game. Fire whatever reason the refs are calling that this year and it’s always during an OOB review
Luka was not out of shape in the finals. He was a solid defender from January on into the playoffs . The playoffs he played on 1 leg and cooked EVRYBODY until he got to a team that played a 5 out offense and Luka was literally the only offensive option for the mavs. That on top of the one leg is why he was “gassed”, but only people who actually watch mavs games would know that
Dallas does NOT a have a good coach which is the main ingredient to have a successful team, even having the best player in the world Luka Doncic.

You missed out on QDot Grimes, he is a very underrated ball handler imo. He's showing all the sparks he showed in new york before his injury, a versatile defender, plays with good pace and can find decent passes. Also he is not afraid to take a pop if he gets an open look. Could definitely be a key rotation piece especially when one of Luka or Kyrie are not on the floor, he seems to play really good with PJ as well
For all these fringe guys like PJ, QG, JH, being traded to the Mavs is a GOLDEN career opportunity. Great to see most of them seizing it. Especially happy about DJ as he was disappointing toward the end of those playoffs. Not this year!!!
