The Nuggets Are Failing Jokic
Just a year and a half ago it was all sunshine and rainbows in the mile high city. The Denver Nuggets just won their first ever NBA championship, they had the best player in the world, Jamal Murray had a great bounce back season and they had a solid supporting cast around them. Fast forward to today though and that teams feels nothing like the current Nuggets. Jokic is better than he’s ever been, but the supporting cast has declined and it’s gotten to the point where his teammates and front office are failing him.

When is AG coming back how long is this week have is going to be going on cuz Murray don't act like he's interested in winning another ring that's what I see coming from him his whole Aura and Persona shows it on the court through the screen through the screen so I mean I'm looking at him on my cell phone and I see it it just looks like he's not interested in winning another ring or he don't want to stand up to his contract
Just 1 stat shows how great Jokic is, when he isn't on the floor Nuggets are 30th in offense, and they are first when he is on the floor
Signing Westbrook is resigning your team to mediocrity. Why are we still doing it
Do you guys have a podcast? I would listen to it y’all are hilarious 😭😭
After the wolves beat them in the playoffs, they never recover
The wizards had Kyle Kuzma and Coulibly, out to. The Nuggets suck
People praise Lebron on 2018 for carrying a weak roster to the finals.
Even then he still had Kevin Love as all star
All of Lebron's finals trips had an all star with him
Jokic never played with an active all star.
Jokic did a better job than Lebron in 2018.
5:15 They got Russ because jokic wanted him not because they were desperate
Jokic actually wanted Westbrook on the team he asked for him , I honestly feel they need to trade Jamal , he’s hasn’t played good he’s been having a weird attitude since the heat pad fiasco
At Deadline day i feel like Jokic will have to get some vet minimum guys, or buyout contracts even pay them himself because front office wont,Jokix littearly brought Westbrook and is helping him a lot really
They should’ve never got rid of KCP, Jeff Green, and Bruce Brown; they were huge pieces to their success. This really shows you the importance of role players and having depth in your team.
Nuggets struggles all come down to the lack of bench scoring, a lack of defensive focus, and Jamal's struggles. Losing KCP was NOT a big deal as it turns out. Christian Braun is actually playing better than KCP did last year (15pts vs 10pts, 45% from 3 vs 42%), and he's playing good defense too and is a bigger defender. Have you even looked at what KCP is doing in Orlando? 40%-30%from 3, 8ppg! Worst since his rookie year! KCP wasn't even a traffic cone against ANT in the MN series, but Christian plays him fairly well due to greater size and strength. Jokic somehow is even better this year, Gordon is about the same, Michael Porter is better. And Russell Westbrook who is really working well with Jokic is an improvement from Reggie Jackson who was unplayable in the playoffs. But, Calvin Booth gave stupid contracts: Zeke Naji 4 yrs $32m and he's not even in the rotation? Jamal 4 years, $207m? He came into the season out of shape, and played 40 mpg so he of course, he has an Achilles strain. Porter is probably worth about what he's being paid $35m. If you want to trade for a 40% career 3pt scorer who averages around 20ppg then you will probably have to over-pay. AG $20m re-signing is great value. But, depending on Peyton Watson and Julian Strawther to be your 7th and 8th men on a championship roster is insane! And for the 5th straight year – no viable backup center (sorry Dario Saric you don't count!). They should fire Calvin Booth!
Begging for a pacers video 🙏
Can we talk about the magic and all their injuries (hopefully magically fixing them)
i hate jok for what he’s been doing to LeBron lately 😂😂😂😂 but bro definitely deserves better jok is one hell of a player you can’t deny that he just needs better teammates and a better front office .
it’s normal for teams to fail their superstars. Every superstars went through this. So don’t make a huge deal out of it for joker
Just have them play the lakers every game
What are you talking about? Jamal is 27 not 29 get the Aged right and he has not lost a step that's a delusional stupid comment first of all Jamal is still a superstar he's already proven that over the years if you watched any of the the playoffs over several years even since the bubble or before that you can see Jamal has proven to be a superstar he's proven it without him they would not have won that title yes it's a team sport and yes each one of them played a role that's true but Jamal played the biggest role without him going beast mode they don't win a title that's a fact with Jamal the problem with him is it's not about losing a step far from it yes the injuries have made a problem he needs to get in better shape because you can't keep getting injured that's true I agree with that the better players it's not that you can't get injured but you got to be in better shape take care of your body and, for some reason his work ethic is not good he needs to get better trainers or something because it's like I said you can still get injured even the better players like him and others, but you got to take care of your body and generally speaking, the players that take care of their body don't get injured nearly as because his work ethic is kind of lazy actually it's not just about scoring points it's about other stuff too he needs to do a lot better with that he seems like he's disinterested and is drive is not there there's something going on because his ability is not the problem I think his driving his work ethic definitely needs to change, but that doesn't make him less of a player but it is a little bit less desirable because he needs to get some kind of thing with his work ethic gets back to normal that's the real problem I think
Add to that that Joker draws double teams and delivers great passes, and makes life much easier for everyone else, it is more difficult to comprehend how there isn't at least one more all star contender on the roster.
Hilarious how when a star is winning, he's dominant. When he isn't, he's being failed. What I gather from all of these channels saying that the Nuggets are screwing Jokic, is that KCP was the real MVP. They're fielding the same squad that won a championship. You're telling me that one role player was the difference maker because that's what they lost. It happens with all modern NBA superstars lol. They always need help when they can't get another chip.
I agree with most of what you said, but westbrook did not seem like a desperation move to me. It's not as if they had to give up anything or give out a large contract. Sure he started slow and the shooting isn't ideal to put around jokic, but the two man game and playmaking has been more than impactful enough for that signing. The main issue comes from that being the only meaningful addition after the loss of other quality players. That take seemsa bit disingenuous, mostly based off of westbrooks recent reputation.
Jamal Murray comes through in the big moments and you guys try to discredit what he does 😂
Talk about my hawks!
One leg Murray is no where to be find. But I like how Rus and Joke are starting to look togethere. If they trade One Leg Murray, when they find him ,it will be the BEST thing to do.But who would take One Leg Murray ???
This aged well.
