I will be discussing Potential trades the Raptors can make this season. The Raptor’s have a few players that could help contending or playoff teams ascend to the next level but also players that could help teams with getting off a bad contract. I'll guess C as well. I think the Kuminga trade would be the best option for us, but I doubt they'd do it.
Melton and 3 2nd rounders for Olynyk should work for both teams (maybe 2 2nd rounders would be more fair). Also, sign and trade opportunities for Melton might exist in the summer too.

Heat can't sign players for the 42M and then re-sign Butler. Assuming Butler turned down his player option, the team would have a cap hold for Butler of roughly $50M, so effectively they have to release his rights to use that 42M of cap space and could then only offer him the MLE of around 12M.

With Scottie's contract kicking in next season and Ogbaji's up this year, unlikely Raptors take on any expiring rookie deals like Kuminga's. They probably pursue deals for young players with at least 1-2 years left on rookie deals and a stockpile more draft picks, specifically another 1st rounder in 2025.
