  1. I think the Spurs wanting him to work on his perimeter game this early on in his career is genius. Wemby having a jumper is less wear-and-tear to his knees in the long run so it’s better to work on it now while he’s still young and the Spurs are still in their year 2 of rebuild with him. Also, the Spurs are still probably waiting for his body to mature and gain more weight and strength. He’s still very skinny so him camping out on the paint on both sides of the court for an 82-game season might risk him to unwanted injuries. He’s already roaming all over the paint on the defensive end, so the Spurs reducing his paint exposure by making him more of a perimeter player on the offensive side of the court is probably protecting him a lot from injuries. I know the Spurs are not stupid. If Wemby develops into a 3-level scorer, he’s going to be very formidable offensively while absolutely being elite defensively also. The Spurs are literally creating their very own 2K player right in front of our faces. This is not gonna be fair in a few years time.

  2. Wemby is the destroyer of worlds in the NBA. He is like Galactus. He can dunk from the free throw, he can shoot half court threes and make clutch free throws. He's more capable to rebound than anyone. He can steal and block the smallest or tallest players and do razzle dazzle assists or gentle touch short game scores.

  3. I guy rises from 21 and 10 as a rookie to 24 and 10 as a second year player playing about 5 minutes more per a game – exactly how is that a huge improvement? He got 3.8 blocks per game last year and 3.6 blocks a game now. Again – how is that as major improvement?

  4. He just needs to stop getting hurt frequently. Refs allow too much pushing. I remember getting calls when the ref would put their hands on their hips when someone did that. Now-it's like anything goes.

  5. The thing with Wemby is his offense is a plus, its great, but if his offense wasnt even good he would go down as one of the best defenders in league history. The fact that he can give you near 25ppg ontop of what hes doing on defense is crazy.

  6. If Wemby get to play with a better team, he would have a dynasty for years, he is a rookie, and plays like a MVP in his prime 6th- 7th season.

  7. Wemby is already destroying defensive records.
For example he currently has the highest block:foul ratio in NBA history!
