They flipped 3 second rounders and got one back on the deal
The German guy is a good deal in terms of floor general for the second unit but I am not sure how you can close out games with 2 small guards being exposed defensively (it would be pretty hit and miss depending on match ups). He will definitely help if used as a sixth man to carry the second unit as Podz is having a major down year as discussed.

In regards to the fit I actually would say it’s great because his more half court ability is what they have been missing in this roster. A consistent thing in their recent struggles is they haven’t been pushing the pace like they were early in the season and haven’t been accepting teams making it a slower more half court game and it has just exposed that they weren’t really built to be a half court team. Now we’ll see if this helps in practice

Schroder has improved his shooting quite a bit since his Laker days, too. Just take a look at his stats over the past year and a half. I like Podz, but DS is going to be big improvement there, and GP can go back to being a 12-14 minute specialty defender. He's going to help a lot down the stretch, and with the second unit with his threat off the dribble, forcing defenses to react, which creates space for everyone else.
GS also got a second round pick back from the Nets.

Fills a lot of holes. Scoring, playmaking, on ball defender. All that for an out for the year melton and essentially two second round picks. More I think about it the more I wonder how they got such a good deal, is another trade between these two coming?

I just don’t see this being really beneficial for GSW. Wasn’t Podziemski already filling that role. Ppl are going crazy about him averaging 18ppg. He was already very good and on a Nets team where he’s a starter and has the ball that’s not mind boggling. We’ve already seen him on good teams when he was on the Lakers. This doesn’t do anything for them if you ask me.

Mailbag question: Why do the warriors waste so much clock ending in so many shot clock violations. I often see the warriors going through their motion offences however it seems to rarely create great advantages and if it does, couldn’t the same advantage been created running a spread pick and roll like the warriors often do at the end of games. It feels that when the warriors do not have an advantage in transition they always seem to wait to the end of the clock to shoot. Why is this and how can they prevent it?

Ever since Kerr and the staff have agreed to let JK do his thing they have been allowing JK and Wiggs to run a lot more spread PnR when Steph is off the court. So I think Dennis (and a LOT more players) can now fit with what the dubs do. Plus Dennis plays well off an advantage creation so I think he'll be a nice pickup.
Not sure if the full final details of the trade have been released, but I believe the Warriors are getting a 2nd round pick back from Bk. (Yes, 3 out, 1 back). Warriors are also giving up one of their 2-way players to Bk.
