Announcer mentioned our Canadian girl Latisha Ameer. Of the players from the Gamecocks chip season last year, only Cardosa was a starter. The rest were bench players with minimal playing time. Average of 4 min per game. Pili poured in 37 against the Gamecocks last year and this year is lucky if she saw 37 minutes in total game time in 25 games. Long lanky and aggressive gets you to the WNBA unless you are exceptional as a shooter. You think the old guard bounced Clark around? Wait til they get apiece of Olive Oyl (Bueckers).
Glad we got the win, but this performance was awful, they we're super lazy, played to their competition, habits like these will cost them in the long run,
SC has already played 6 top 25 ranked teams. UConn has played 3, LSU only 1, USC played 2, and UCLA only 1, which was SC and won. They don't shy away from the challenge. That's why they are so tough. They have no super stars. In fact, they've only ever had 2 that I can remember, Wilson and Boston. But they've got several good players with potential to be great.
Also, there are currently 7 SEC teams in the top 25. SC has not even began conference play yet. They have the toughest schedule I've ever seen.
