The OKC vs Rockets game was clearly more entertaining, especially in the 2nd half. The West is just better basketball overall. OKC scored more than ATL And Milwaukee did lol this whole thing about low scoring is just wrong, again, especially that 2nd half was great. The beef between those two teams is real & I'm here for all of that.
SGA did miss shots but he had 32-8-6 with 5 steals, 1 block & was a +16… That's not a "horrible game". I love you guys, this is just a bad narrative about the two games that is driving me nuts.
Okc & Houston are superior on defense & we need more of that IMO. Every basket is big. Every blocked dunk even more exciting. Loved it, besides maybe the first quarter, that's it.

It's so crazy to hear you guys say the crowd was into the first game. It sounded like a golf tournament on TV. Also I was pretty into the second game until OKC broke it open in the fourth even though it was a complete rock fight.

Teams going into the penalty after five fouls is the problem, IMO, make it eight or nine team fouls per quarter, less free throws, better flow to the game.

I'm sorry. I usually love the old Starters crew, but this was a pretty poor video. The constant complaining about the OKC vs. Houston game was straight up awful. It also feels like they didn't actually pay attention to the 2nd half, where OKC scored 70 points. All I kept hearing was, "no one could score," a statement disproved pretty soundly by the aforementioned 70 point half.
Also, how about actually crediting the defense instead of making caveats for it. I kept hearing I know OKC and Houston are defensive minded, but… and it just didn't sound like good analysis.
Why not talk about the defensive pressure instead of lament it? It was also an L take to say OKC looked terrible offensively when they scored the most points out of any team that played and ended up shooting 36+% on 3s for the game after starting 2-18. They clearly demonstrated they can be good offensively in the 2nd half.

One of the nice things about NBA cup games is many of those games leading up to Vegas, you can get a really good value on tickets and attending. If you're lucky the players will play way harder, you'll get a cool, more "playoff-like" atmosphere, while the prices are just the same as any other normal game.
