  1. The league needs to move the hoop out beyond the arc so every shot is a 3

That shirt is crazy 😂 completely forgot about Mean Gene until now. WWF🔥

  2. Remember, kids. Three pointers only become an NBA problem when it's the other team making them and destroying your favorite team.

  3. That GSW-Mavs game last night was just a barrage of treys-it was entertaining yet a bit ridiculous. However this is today’s NBA…thank you John! ☘️🔒

  4. Yep. I wonder how many of these experts have watched some games from 60 years ago? Sometimes, some really good passing there. A lot of times? Dudes standing around, MUCH closer to the basket, and a LOT of bad shots. Some REALLY boring basketball.

The people calling this "unwatchable"… I'm convinced are not actually watching–definitely not the Celtics. Or they're watching Jordan Poole or Lamelo and burning their eyes out.

  5. I'll admit, I'm sometimes nostalgic for the days when the three was this more singular weapon—when Chris Ford or Bird would just DAGGER the other team with one three. But c'mon.

Not only will getting rid of it make the game WAY more boring (watch the 24 second violations EXPLODE too), you'll have LESS passing/cutting too. Just the other day PP was talking about deliberately opening passing/driving lanes for the Jays. All of that will be gone.

  6. Yep, exactly what we need: impetus to return the NBA to Riley Ball. The NBA Mephistopheles is still powerful!

  7. The problem that everyone has is the problem I never saw with the Spurs dynasty team either.

The ball moves, the ball finds its way to the open guy. It is beautiful basketball.

What I think is more astonishing is that when Jayson or Jaylen go to the old school game, we criticise them.

The problem people have is the Celtics have solved basketball for a small period & until the league adjusts, you don't see where they can lose (other than a really bad shooting night)

  8. Not a problem but I have to admit when they aren’t hitting and the ball doesn’t move much it’s really boring to watch

  9. Prayton Pritchard and Derrick are the only players who score a perfect three, the rest is, a hit and go, KP not a perfectionist, most of the younger players have perfected their three point shooting, Buddy Hield, Cam.

  10. I have no problem with 3s. The tide will turn as defenses adjust.
Regarding assist numbers: I would argue that the 80s Celtics assists were more enjoyable to watch as the passes had a greater degree of difficulty and were most often to cutting team mates as opposed to someone standing int he corner or above the break. Also, fast breaks today are often hugely disappointing in that you have 3 players streaking down court, but then 2 of them just run to the 3 point line instead of cutting to the basket.
The only rule change required today is to give the fouled team choice of free throws or the ball and a new shot clock

  11. Like and comment for the Algo overlords!
I’m lucky enough to work with a few “diehard” Celtics and NBA fans one of them being my CEO. The nostalgia portion and remembering in fondness great games and hating on the 3 pt fiesta that is happening is mostly the talk around the water cooler. I asked my CEO if he could go back to one classic, Game 7 1994 NBA finals and see if he could stomach watching the first ten minutes, two days later he says “geez serious hand checking, bad spacing etc” we only remember the highlights of such older games never the amount of fouls, turnovers and many misses from two point range jumpers.
Nothing will change my love for this sport and the team that I follow. I cannot speak for the casual fans.

  12. Nobody ever wants to hear it, but the solution to the 3 pointer math problem is changing the points to 3 and 4.

  13. I mean in response to ratings are down…. how easy is it to watch NBA games if you don't have cable TV ? NBA league pass: you can't watch your home team. Youtube TV is 80 bucks a month. So most people put up the jolly rogger flag and say yo ho yo ho it's not about the 3's

  14. In my opinion fans are longing for the return of athleticism to the NBA. People want to see dunks and blocks. In my opinion part of the problem is that players do not want to drive and dunk due to risk of injury (e.x Morant).

  15. Steph and Golden State change the game, and won 4 Chips pep loved it. Celts has taken it to another level now its a bad thing.

  16. It’s another tool in the tool box. I do agree there are less power drives in the paint like centers (with Shaq, Robinson, etc.), but some guys hit 3’s some can’t.

ISO basketball bothers me more than the 3’s because it’s 1 guy trying to assert his will against an entire team and why when JT & JB only do so with severely advantageous matchups is it good. Otherwise, they usually turn it over or take a bad shot.

Are there more blowouts, yes. But…teams can also come back if you don’t keep on the pedal…so by mid 4th quarter it can be interesting lol

  17. Regardless whatever they do the Celtics is the Best team in the League.. all this crying is hilarious'🤔🏀💯🍀🏆🏆💪🏾.

  18. Ah! Floor spacing almost right. It's not the spacing but the floor itself. It's too small. Widen the playing surface make the rthree point line a true arc (no more cheap threes). Secondly move the three point line. Bring it back a foot. If there are still too many, bring it back some more. Make the three ppint shot a real challenge! The dream that the owners would give up a row of seats to accomadate the game, what am I thinking?

  19. I dont know who says its not exciting. Its very exciting in my opinion and open ups the floor for any type of offensive movement including in the paint. The real problem in declining viewership is because people are watching games in clips. Especially younger people. Cant understand why because that ruins the fun of watching the game as a whole.

  20. This whole 3 point argument just comes from people being so butthurt and helpless they’ve been wrong about the Celtics. so they wanna throw whatever at the wall and hope it sticks. Last year everyone said the celtics would die by the 3 anyway. Now that theyve seen that wont happen they’re scared. I guarantee if it was a team more likeable to these casuals blowing teams out the water constantly they wouldn’t care.
